Unfortunately, it looks like their Tuesday game vs Portland State has been canceled so they have all week to prep for OSU, while we have Utah on Tuesday.

It could also work to their disadvantage as the Tuesday contest would've given them an opportunity to work on their rotation, cardio, etc. I'm glad we've got Utah to push us and help us refine our game. We need it.

It’s also finals week, which can also have its share of practice disruptions, but I’m sure it might be lessened this year

Well, as of today, the Duck's entire roster will be available on Sunday against OSU, with Sedona Prince as the only "maybe". If she doesn't play, it would offset OSU missing Kennedy Brown (after all, Brown was a 5 star MAA player just like Prince was in High School. Note I am not including OSU "missing" Andrea Aquino). If Prince plays at or near full strength, it's a big postive for the Ducks for sure. This is one of those games where missing Kennedy is HUGE. Anyhow, if the Beavers manage to upset the Ducks minus Sedona, I don't want to hear Duck fans making any excuses.

We need it. I agree. Normally, it's 15 or more games into the season before we play them. I'd much rather have the Tuesday game to work on things, and I'll bet Graves would too. Five days from Tuesday to Sunday, just the same as the five days between normal Sunday and Friday games. Plenty of time to get ready for them. |

Yikes! I hope we don't get throttled like that, 45 points! That would show that Rueck's program has regressed immensely. I can't see the Beavs winning against the Ducks on Sunday and they very well could win handily but I'm hoping by not more than 15.
Is it just me, but it seems like our program lost the momentum we had after the final 4 run. We were at the top of the Pac-12 for 3 years straight but it feels like other programs have caught up and/or surpassed us, UA, Ducks, Stanford, maybe UCLA. I know we've made it to the sweet 16 the last few years but I would've thought we would parlay the Final 4 run into more of those and more Pac-12 championships. Seems like the Ducks just came out of nowhere to recruit at such an elite level and may still be at the top, battling it out with Stanford. UA has McDonald so hopefully their run ends after she's gone after this year. What went wrong? I know we missed on Aquino, she could of been all-world, the injury to KB set us back some. Are we missing on some key recruits? HVL felt like we were close to getting her. She's pretty incredible so far at UL.
I don't know...I love Rueck and what he's done for us. I just hope we haven't seen the pinnacle yet of Lady Beavs hoops!

Ducks were WITHOUT Sedona Prince, arguably their best "big", and yet the game was over before halftime as they CRUSHED Utah. On the other hand, OSU made Utah look good. Yeah, I see the Ducks blowing out OSU Sunday. |
