I'm happy for her. Great news for the Beavs as well.

She is going to be great. I have a feeling it will be sooner than later.

Sasha looks to be a great addition. She probably won't quite get the National recognition she might normally deserve as this is a stellar freshmen crop of guards nationally with Caitlin Clark and Van Lith already going off so far this year and Bueckers and Uconn have yet to play a game. Quick question for the insiders, Goforth is a great pick up and pull from SEC country, what was the key to her recruitment for Scott to get her to come West? I am all for the PAC-12 continuing to be the best/deepest conference for women's hoops and recruiting 5 star players nationally helps. I think that will be strengthened once a team or two finally breaks though and brings home a title and raises the conference's championship profile.

That's one amazing freshman. I'm really looking forward to following her career. If she doesn't have national recognition by the time she's done, I will be surprised.

I don't know how many of you follow Ben Dull, but overall he does a great job breaking down players/teams games, and he always has a lot to say about the Pac-12 and the Beavs.
Some observations and video on how the Beavs are using Sasha.

I really hope this is the direction we go to for improving our scoring. Goforth is the best triple-threat on the team (Samuel also getting there), and can counter the trend of clogging passing lanes to stifle our offensive system. Goforth is an extremely difficult player to defend in man defense, and will only get more-so as her ball handling and passing skills improve. It also frees up Aleah to spot up instead of her trying to slash, which is not her strength.

When there are 2 players, who just 5 games into their D-1 careers show the kind of promise (including confidence) that Goforth and Samuel do, it's fun to fantasize a bit about where their college years may take them (and the Beavs WBB team). In imagining the potential upside for those two - admittedly BEST CASE...and mostly for 'grins': I can see Goforth being the best backcourt player to yet emerge from the program. I can see Samuel being a 'near as good' of defensive player as Gabby Hanson, while being more of an offensive threat than Hanson.
