Getting to be Christmas time, so I thought I'd ask. For those of you in the know, what is the wishlist looking like for the 2022 class? It's already coming together nicely. If Sanchez comes in with Whisenhunt, DeBlaere and Anderson, it's a good start.
Anybody else leaning? Anybody likely. Will we actually wrestle this season?

My wish list are names that have been discussed on this board already:
James Rowley - 160 Crescent Valley Mauro Michel - 113 Cascade HS
Then a santa's wish list bonus, Travis Whittlake transfers back home from OSU to Oregon State :-)

He's wrestled Whisenhunt pretty close (lost 4-3 at Resers TOC) and I think has beaten him previously. 6A champ at 120, pretty good success on regional level. Ayden Garver and Charlie Evans out of Newberg. 6A state champs at 126 and 132 respectively. Both have wrestled pretty well in a couple recent pre-season national tourneys, can't recall exactly which ones, but Evans took 1st at 152. Think Garver was 3rd at 32 or 38. Brook Byers - Sprague State Champ at 160 last year. And it's not too early to keep an eye on a couple of local Class of 23 kids. Hayden Walters & DJ Gillett are both at CV. Both have a chance to be 4x champs when it's all said and done. Riley Davis of Sprague was runner up to Angel Sanchez as a freshman.

I know he has one older brother who was at Menlo and now Clackamas. Other brother was at SOU for a bit.

The two Newberg kids I mentioned just took 1st place again at the Western States Championships in Utah last weekend. Evans took 1st at 160, Garver took 1st at 138. Garver beat the 3A Nevada state champ in the semis and Montana state runner up in the finals. Evans dominated - won 16-4, 2 pins and then 13-1 in the finals. Hope the staff has an eye on these two!

I see that the Beavers have made the final 6 for Rylan Rogers. He would be a tremendous addition. The obvious problem being that his weight class would be totally stacked. Both good and bad aspects.

Both good and bad aspects. bumping this from page 2. Coaches are out on the recruiting trail. It's a good sign when you are white water rafting with one of the biggest studs in the area on day 1 of visits. See IMAR165 and all 3 coaches re-tweeting.
Go Beavs & future Beavs..build the dam!

hopefully being close to home works in our favor. His other finalists were Penn State, Ohio State, Oklahoma, NC State and Michigan if I remember right. Maybe the move back to Idaho from Blair Academy is a good sign for us.

I see ASU is still going after Rogers even without them being on his final 5 list. Rogers will be in Corvallis for a couple of weeks working out with the locals and not so local guys.

I don't know where they all would fit, if we landed Rogers and Rowley on top of Anderson, Stephens, Ruchti and Giangregorio, but I guess bring em all in

I love what the coaches are doing - making no spot safe. Given the group recruited in the list I would see Rowley, Rogers, Ruchti and Stephens having the upper hand there - but that's just my opinion based on what I have seen. I am glad we are now in the conversation with some of the nations best kids.

Recruit Nathan Aguilar from Gilroy took 3rd at the California State Open. He lost to Wayne Joint in the semis 11-10.

Mauro Michel has changed weights and schools. Now at Stayton HS, holding down the 132 spot. Pinning all of his opponents so far.
