Is it me or does it seem that the majority of issues like this is from the smaller schools. Can we get Portland or Portland State scheduled this pm or on Tuesday? Portland State already has 25 games, so that takes them out of the equation. Portland looks to have 22, and they don't play until Sunday. Rueck probably wouldn't want to play Wednesday because that would give them just one day before Utah. Would be nice to get them on Tuesday, but maybe not enough time to schedule. Haven't heard of any top-25 teams besides UConn having issues, but it looks like Stanford may be forced to relocate to the PNW.

At this point, we just need to play, and either of these opponents will just strengthen us come tournament time.

Why would we want to play two of the weakest teams in the Conference ?🤓😜🤣

There is plenty of time now to fit in a game between now and the new Sunday opener. The problem is finding teams to play. Montana Western and Carroll College weren't the Beavs first choices and one of them didn't work out. I hope they can find someone for a Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday game. Maybe they should have taken Louisville, or Arizona when they were both on twitter searching for games.

That's silly if the 25 max is a hard an fast rule this year - there's no way they don't have some cancelled.

I can see both sides of the issue, but instead of limiting teams to 25 games this year, it may have made some sense to allow teams to schedule/play more games this year, knowing that some of the games would get cancelled.
For us fans, it may have been better to run the season an extra 4-6 weeks so teams would have a chance to make up missed games. I don't see why they couldn't have the NCAA tournament run in April/May. In fact, our hope would be that as a country, we would be in a bit better shape the further in time we get.
For now, we just have to enjoy what we get.

This season is going to be a mess with many canceled games. Covid will play a role this year, maybe a major one. I'm not sure I like the idea of a championship at the end of the season, it would have to have a huge * next to it.

There was no championship last year, and this year the championship will be a bit hollow, unless we truly end up with what are clearly the 4 best teams in the final 4.....My early prediction, based on what I read about player talent level and coaching skills: Stanford, South Carolina, UCONN, Louisville (sorry, I can't include Baylor....can't stand Mulkey.)

Stanford might be done for the year. Will Brink have second thoughts?

Really ought to shut it down and re-start in late March or so. Get through the spikes following Thanksgiving and Christmas, let vaccine deployment begin, and have a manageable amount of disruption in the spring. Plowing ahead now is going to be an exercise in futility.
Even the NFL playoffs, with all that money at stake, are going to be in jeopardy. Men’s and women’s college hoops should just put it on hold. I’d much rather have a full, meaningful season to enjoy in a non-traditional time of year than the mountain of cancellations and frustration we are headed for now.
I will miss college hoops greatly if it happens. And I’ll be thrilled if they keep going and I am wrong.
