Thanks for the good info here. Just getting in the games is a true blessing. Yes, they are solid and won't be a push over and they are one of the better coached P-12 teams in that they get the most out of the talent they have.

Thanks for this. The article also states: "Further clarity as to whether or not Utah will play later this week is expected as early as Monday afternoon, or possibly Tuesday. " It is going to be day to day. Carroll College appears to have cancelled today after testing positive, so Utah (or even OSU) could also cancel as late as game day (this Friday).

So we are now scheduled to play Colorado first, on Sunday and then Utah next Tuesday, Dec. 8th. Crazy. Stay tuned for news!

After reading messages and information on Stanford's cardboard forum, it sounds like their WBB team may/might actually shutdown and not play their first 7 Pac-12 games due to Santa Clara County Public Health Department's emergency directive stopping all college games. Their team would have to temporarily relocate to another state or area to avoid the shutdown. I propose Tara and her team move into the Mariott Courtyard in Corvallis for the next 5 weeks, right up to and including the games against Oregon on Jan 8 and OSU on Jan 10!! They could attend Stanford classes remotely and maybe book private practice time at a local gymnasium or OSU facility ))) However, Portland would be a good choice because of the airport, more facilities, etc.

After that is Oregon on Sunday the 13th, so the Tuesday game isn't a big problem.
Stanford could try to flip their home and away schedule with the teams they're scheduled to play, couldn't they?

The problem is they can't practice in Santa Clara county, and if they return they would have to quarantine for 14 days. Step 1 would be finding a new base of operations, then trying to figure out the schedule. The football team might be headed for Washington tomorrow, potentially staying in the northwest all the way until they play the Beavs on the 12th of December. Buckle up and write the schedules in pencil, there will be adjustments. :-)

Here is Stanford's solution for now. They will blow off their scheduled home games this weekend vs. the Washington schools and instead play a Saturday game at UNLV (coached by one of Vanderveer's former players). Their press release then includes the obligatory addendum that they will try to schedule those Washington games (as well as a couple of cancelled non-conference games) at another time. I wonder if they're considering using Las Vegas as their home base for now, then also blowing off their road game at Cal on 12/13, and then re-joining the Pac-12 for their road trips to LA and Arizona (which would be an easier trip from Vegas).
