I come in to check on the game, it's 5-0, 5 minutes later it's 5-3 with still a chance for trees to score more, I'm going back outside!!

I'm very impressed with this Thompson/Fehmel combination as one of our three weekend starter options. Great to see the Beavs respond with two runs after the lead shrank to 5-3. That is an indication of character - need to build on that.

...and the hits keep coming. Now Beavers 10-4. So good to see the team respond in this fashion. College Baseball, a continual work-in-progress.

I'm taking credit for the run production. Just before the game started, I got out my sign, which hadn't made an appearance this weekend, and loudly let it be known that to the Stanford dugout that "Our Demarini's Are Bigger Than Yours". I know they can read it from our dugout too, and boy did they respond. I reminded them that they had forgotten who swings the big bats at Goss. KJ's homer was a bomb, no doubt as soon as it left the bat that it was going out.
Now, if we can just figure out how to get into Thompson's head when he gets behind. The kid can throw, but he gets rattled so easily and knocked off his horse. It's a shame, because when he is firing on all cylinders, like he was before the throwing error, he is amazing to watch. Hard to coach what goes on between the ears.

I give full credit for the win to some real beavers. I saw a real beaver above the fish trap this morning on the stream for which I am an ODFW volunteer. This evening after I returned from the game, two beavers were swimming around the area where I was fishing. No doubt in my mind where the real credit for the win rests. Lol.
The surfer dude, Fehmel, does not have a nerve in his body. Pretty cool under pressure for a guy whom the coaches readily admit was expected to contribute absolutely zip this season.
