Wow, a lot of posts on this thread did not age well at all. Nice, gritty win. Regarding the earlier post about the USPS ... well, let's leave that one alone for now. It's become pretty damn obvious why it was having trouble. This is why I only negapost at first and then disappear, or wait till we're gonna win to post at all. Tried and true.

Tibs deserves some kudos. The adjustments made in the second half WON this football game. The blocked punt didn't "hoit." He made great adjustments last week against the huckin' fuskies, too. Credit where it's due. JMHO

Added benefit. Always good to beat *uck Wilcox and *uck Musgrave even if they're wearing Blue and Gold.
Now lets beat those *ucks wearing yellow and green!!

Tonight was a team effort no doubt. I don't know if I could handle another "shootout," but I hope for another. That was fun.

Two well-matched teams. Fun game! Especially with the win. Gebbia threw some nice passes. Yeah, his consistency is lacking, but he did enough. Time for a celebration beer! I'll join ya!

Gebbia - player of the game. Rafer and Grackle’s heads explode Yep, all american coming next!! Smails said so. Lololol a win is a win, everybody's happy about it. Glad for you that you think our qb is great. Must feel good to be you. I think I would have gone with rb who had almost 20o yards, but.... Did your leaves bite off your tail?......Eyeore

Six buses with police escort out of town an hour ago. Must be what it takes to 'social distance' for an entourage of 80-90 people. I'm guessing it was the Cal football team going south on 99W. MB.

Cal was picked to finish 2nd in the north. A lot of that had to do with assuming Garbers was health. We faced his awful replacement last year, and barely got a win. This year, we faced him healthy and playing well, and still got a win. Cal lost a lot of production on defense from last year, and we took advantage with some breakdowns there. Our defense looked shaky at times, but that was an offense that looked completely different from their game 1 vs. UCLA, and they did enough.
There was also a lot of hand-wringing after WSU that were looking at an 0-fer season, and the refs handing UW the game last week made it feel even bleaker.
Today, things felt back to what we thought - not a great OSU team, but one that can hang in this conference and have a shot every week. I like our chances going into the Civil War next week, and it hasn't been often lately that I've felt that way.
Enjoy it, Beaver fans, that was a real fun, great win!

Agreed with stever...that was just a good, fun college football game to watch. I know the win helps my opinion, but that was a good show.

Well, to be fair, it wasn't Smails who gave the player of the award to Tristan Gebbia. It was FS1. So, I guess they must have felt pretty good about Gebbia's game too.

My only concern is we are too one dimensional and predictable. This makes us easy to defend and gives the competitor an edge on offense. One great play was the TD PASS to Gebbia on the double lateral. Yep, a trick play for sure , but it took the pressure off of Jermar having to continue to pound the middle!
