‘I promise you. We won’t finish 12th’
WT quote from oregonlive.
Now when we finish 11th he can say he has exceeded expectations and deserves another contract extension.

I agree with him. Certainly have upgraded athleticism. We have too many newcomer questions to be rated very high.

It will prove his coaching skill. Because he has some pretty good pieces Comming to play at OSU. Im excited. He needs a better point guard then Thompson though. If he needs to be loyal to papa that could destroy team chemistry. Here's what I see. The 6'8 guy might be a Shelton type. Could be the anchor of this team. Then there's others that are also experienced in the front. Providing a good base. The back court players need to step up and perform. Hunt should be the point. He's quick and fast. 2 and three will hopefully have so many choices one or two of these guys can be forces. But again its where Tinkle is at that will make or brake how successful they become. Somebody on this team MUST BE ABLE TO SHOOT the three. Balance tips things in the positive direction. They could be really fun to watch once their chemistry developes.

Agree, Thompson cannot be playing PG. If he starts the season there, we won't do squat. If he's at SG, we could surprise some as Lucas, Silver, and to a limited extent Reichle can shoot. We're not terribly big but have a lot of length and athleticism that should allow us to play a high energy D and compete on the boards. I've been down on Tinkle as he catered to the kids too much. I still think he can coach and he'll have to with this squad.

Washington throwing their hat in the ring for worst team in conference with a 15 point loss to UC-Riverside. I believe they started slow last year too, but they had two NBA draft picks on that team.
Stanford looks to be pretty good taking NC down to the wire, though they got killed on the boards. Only saw last few minutes of game, so didn’t see much of Zaire Williams (foul trouble), but the frosh looked good against Alabama in their opener. USC is 3-0 after beating BYU by 25.
Looking forward to Wash. St. game and starting 1-0 in conference.

They smoked BYwho today.

Saw on Twitter that both Silver and Hunt will be available on Weds. Good to have all hands on deck for opener.
