Thanks for posting this podcast beaverwbb fan......As always, coach is upbeat and optimistic...And he is, as we all know, a great ambassador for OSU WBB....
His conversation made clear that Ellie Mack is a very good player but not a great athletic specimen...But, he claims she is the real deal, so that's good enough for me...
A fan who is pretty close to the program told me not to get too enthused about Jelena, that she has limitations with floor speed and defensive mobility..But Coach continues to speak optimistically about what she has to offer....If you listen closely to what he says about Jelena something stands out: he almost never refers to her as a strong rebounder, as a rim protector, as someone who clogs up the middle on D...That surprises me: she's 6'9, she's experienced. How does that not translate to boards and D?
At any rate, I'm kinda nit-picking or something like that....Give the podcast a listen....I enjoyed it....
Coach basically knows the same thing everyone here on the board knows: he's got 5 VERY good players - and he's gonna try to mold them and their back-ups into a championship team.....
