ktvz.com/news/wildlife/2020/10/28/a-california-born-wolf-has-dispersed-into-oregon-for-the-first-time/Baron has been gone for years. When we got him as a puppy, vet said he was a wolf hybrid. Oh well. He did not bark. He woofed and growled. If you were a strange adult, he let you know your $hit was weak. Once you were properly introduced he never forgot you. Neighbor, friend, mailman, meter reader. He would bump you, pester you until you petted and rubbed him. Kids were another question. More kids' hands he had on him, the better. They didn't know our names but they knew Baron. My best friend for 17 years. Nothing better than coming home from work and getting attention from someone glad to see you. Rubs, thumps. Milk Bone.
