For all of the bears' injuries, Nall still hasn't gotten a single carry... He does have one reception, one kick return, and one tackle. Hopefully both him and Pierce get some carries soon!

Nall's offensive snaps have gone from 1 to 3 to 7 in the first 3 weeks.
He's getting more looks each week.
Cohen was getting 1/3 to 40% of the offensive snaps in the first 3 weeks.
I'm also not sure how the Bears are using Cordarrelle Patterson these days. He's getting more rushing attempts (15) than passing targets (3). I don't know if all of those rushing attempts are fly sweeps, or if he's actually lining up in the backfield.

I haven’t seen any of the games, but Bears we’re talking about playing Patterson at RB during the preseason, so I think those rushes came out of the backfield.

Bears also brought in 4 RBs for tryouts this week. Wish they would just give him a chance

Bears have a bad case of sunk cost going on with Patterson... they signed him to a $5M/yr contract and all he does is ride pine and come in for a gadget play or two. there is pressure to make him worth his money. Nall is sitting at minimum salary, at around $600K/yr. there is no pressure to get the young guy going. It is the (bad) business of football.

Still no carries for Nall this week. Two WRs got carries per the box score, but none for the second-string RB. Ok then. I saw a picture after the game of AP in street clothes, so I assume he wasn't actually active for the game. Still a better paycheck than practice squad. I know I’m a Nall homer, but after watching them do nothing offensively most of the game I have to ask what the hell it would hurt to try him. He did have an 8 td kick return up to the 35 or so.

Nall returned a kickoff on Indianapolis' squib before half. Eight yards. Otherwise, Nall was only on the field for one snap. Artavis Pierce was a healthy scratch.

Montgomery ate up almost all of Cohen's snaps. Went from about 45-55% of the snaps from the first 3 games to 85% of the snaps for the 4th game.
Of course, the Bears were playing from behind that entire game, which wasn't the case in their first 3 games, so that could account for some of the difference.
