8 positive Covid tests amongst players and staff on the Titans; Vikings also have evacuated their facility. Can't reschedule these games. extremely doubtful they reschedule, unless more cases pop up from these initial ones. We will see. They Likely they push games out to Monday. They have built a scheme in that gives them a 5 day period of being symptom free and negative tests to resume. What it means is the Titans might not be able to practice together until Saturday. Same with Vikings. Pushing the games to Monday gives them a practice and a walkthrough before the game. Daily rapid testing allows you the ability to very quickly discover tests and act to contain the spread. We are about to see in action if it works.

I hope they can play on Monday, all depends on if they have this outbreak stuffed. Have to see if they can get ready. Steelers are locked in, especially if the affected players are key role players for the Titans. Between Steelers and Chiefs, that's two top teams with Beavers that could get a ring. Remmers did pretty goodfor being new to the offense. Andy Reid isa stud coach, nothing fazes him.

My late, great mother-in-law was from Pittsburgh and a huge Steeler fan. We would go to Tigard for the weekend to visit and if, and usually was, the Steelers game was on, Mom and I would watch it. mrs sage was not happy as she wanted to do mother-daughter stuff but football got in the way. Just to gouge Mom a little bit, my favorite NFL team was whoever was playing her Steelers. Since back then, the Steelers usually won, she gouged back. Just to show you how great she was, she did not drink but there always seemed to be beer in the fridge for me on football Sunday. I still miss her.

Not unlike Greg King’s love. My poor attempt at poor humor undone by auto-correct and edit time! "Not unlike Greg Kihn's love!"

The game is now postponed to another week according to This article.
Article also suggests that the Steelers and Ravens can swap their game week later this year so that the Titans and Steelers will have a mutual bye week to reschedule the game to.

Sigh, no reason to watch football If I were a betting man, I would put money down on winning percentage deciding playoff ranking in a situation where a few teams might not be able to get a full season in.

Sigh, no reason to watch football If I were a betting man, I would put money down on winning percentage deciding playoff ranking in a situation where a few teams might not be able to get a full season in. MLB looked bad for a little while, and ultimately, all but 2 games were played. (not sure WHY the Cardinals weren't forced to play their last 2 games, since the outcome could have affected seeding in the NL playoffs).
That said, the NFL can't schedule doubleheaders to make-up games like MLB can.
In hindsight, the league probably would have been well-served to shift bye weeks to later in the season so teams would have more options if games need to be postponed. As it stands, the bye schedule is:
Week 5: 2 Week 6: 4 Week 7: 4 Week 8: 6 Week 9: 4 Week 10: 4 Week 11: 6 Week 13: 2
I realize the NFL schedule is complicated and comes out LONG before the season starts, but the flexibility some late Byes would give the NFL for re-scheduling games looks like a good idea right now.
Hopefully, they won't need it.
Back in the early days of the NFL, they had plenty of seasons where the champion was decided on winning %. It's throwbacks to Spanish Flu days! The first NFL season where all teams played the same # of games was 1936 - the first 16 seasons there were always unbalanced schedules.
