We can only hope they fail right. Of course you can’t fail when you choose to sit out and hope others do.

Small and medium size town newspapers are on the down slide. They have drastically reduced the size of their newsrooms. They get most of their news from wire services or internet oriented sources. Their want ads, which used to be a huge source of revenue is pretty much gone. A lot of local businesses have gone to targeted direct mail and email which has proved to be more effective. Craig's list, etc have taken care of a lot. Times, technology, saldly change things.

Apparently the champ this year is the team that can play the most games whether their players are covid free or not.

I'm surprised that so many people still don't get this... Trying to figure out the wishing part in the article. Houston having 3 consecutive opponents bail seems like a fact and not an opinion.

Is Houston 3-0? One-way to go undefeated.

For the math challenged, that is 38% of all scheduled games, or more than 1/3rd. That is less than ideal, I would say.

I find it interesting that one of the big reasons for cancelation is not Covid per say, but the fact if it hits a segment of the depth chart to where they don't have enough players to fill a two man rotation at the position, then they call it. I don't think many people were thinking about that at the start.
