Lately Bend has had a spate of fires caused by charcoal leaking out onto wood decks. This last one took out two duplexes and damaged the exterior of two houses. Invest in some sheet metal to put under the grill. I know you aren't going to sit out there and watch it (boringggggg). Bigger, taller the kettle, bigger the size of the metal. Drown that bad boy when you are done. Wait a day to ditch the ashes. That way you know it's dead.
