If we ever needed a sign of how utterly soft our conference is, this week has shown it. While the Big 12, SEC and ACC are attempting to continue on and schedule a season the Pac 12 folded like a cheap tent at the first sign of adversity. Adversity, what you teach young players from the age of 8 years old that they must overcome, we collapsed under the weight of it. At least a few Universities and Coaches in the Big10 have complained or are even trying to go around the cancellation, but Pac 12 AD's, Presidents, and coaches have all rolled over to accept the inevitable, I mean if it is going to happen at least enjoy it right. Releasing pansy assed press releases about how they regret the cancellation but C'est la vie. P*ssies.
P*ssies, and you can't win being P*ssies in this sport. I expect USC, Washington and others to flee this pansy conference at the first available opportunity. Soft as butter, and that's the way the conference has played the last 10 years. A culture of football failure that may never be overcome now.

Couldn’t agree more. Heard a big 12 coach quoted on DP this am saying this will forever separate the ACC/SEC/Big 12 above the Pac 12 and Big 10. If he is emailing sports radio this just imagine what will be said on the recruiting trail.
I hate being negative but it really looks like this will be what pushes the Pac 12 over the cliff.
OSU will be lucky to land in the mt west when all this finally settles.
I don’t think this virus isn’t real - just that the emotional and not reality driven reactions to it and overblown panic are creating far worse negative consequences.

If the other three conferences play their season, the Pac 12 and Big 10 will be working out all fall, and in leiu of a spring practice probably do a 10 game season, a conference championship and a Rose Bowl some time around Memorial day. They'll be humming along and quite ready for fall season 2021 with only an 8 or 9 week break.

What will you say when the Big 12, ACC, and SEC all make similar decisions a few weeks from now?

What will you say when the Big 12, ACC, and SEC all make similar decisions a few weeks from now? A plan that counts on the other people to fail....weak minded and soft, soft like our conference.

Much better and HARDER to be the person or group who sacrifices greatly in the face of potential danger and injury, even if it hurts financially in the short run, than the hard heading oaf that plunges ahead with no thought or wisdom and causes great damage in their wake. I have a feeling that this post will not age well, as the other conferences also cancel their fall seasons and we see more studies about the potential heart infections that even asymptomatic Covid positive patients are potentially left with. Or maybe that is all a hoax and the Pac-12 will indeed look like nervous nellies with an over active imagination. But, I woudl take that 100x over this being a big deal that ends up threatening the lifes and future careers of thousands of student athletes. Edit to add.... BTW, the University of Washington Medical school was one of the main drivers of the decision to cancel the season.... So no, I dont think UW will be leaving the Pac-12 over this.

A plan that puts you in the position of acting earlier and being the leader is counting on others to fail??? It is not a FAILURE to want to prtect your constituents... Are also a General Custer fan?

Just like wearing a mask; it's not a sign of weakness, it's an IQ test.

The big 10 and pac12 follow Dr. Fauci's advice the other leagues follow the advice of some guy who says like magic it will be gone in a month or two. I will follow Dr. Fauci.

Wow, non of this can be answered without answering politically which we cannot do. So we will answer in this way. If there is a chance to die in a plane crash are you a stud to never go to Hawaii or a stud if you do?

Either you're not a fan, and are stirring the pot for no reason other than to have fun. Or you're not the kind of fan we want/need, with your negativity and poor attitude. In either case feel free to stay or go. Just know you have made little impression here other than devalue yourself and/or any future opinion you may have.

Or maybe the Pac-12 and the Big 10 actually listen to their doctors and the concern for the long term health of their athletes versus just making this about $$$$. I hate not having OSU football this fall having double digit season tix,but respect the two conferences for having the guts to think about humans...that can be used on the recruiting trail too!
