Did I just miss it, or has this not been posted? Maybe nobody cares. Personally, I think this is great for the girls, and will certainly be a valuable recruiting tool.

Seems like an odd announcement to make in the context of large department staff cuts. And is this for OSU WBB only? That also seems a little odd. Don’t all programs have athletes equally in need of “branding”?

I didn't "get it" at first, but a connection was made with a former Alum who is a star in his field and....all the coaches, commentators and former players are excited so....I'll just go along with their opinions. Now, wait for ucks, graves to respond, ya know it is eating at them. Or maybe not, that writer for the Waco paper didn't think it was getting much traction in the WBB world

I wonder how this endeavor is going for the team. It's been super quiet since the announcement.

With all the talk on another thread about NIL, I wonder if this is still a part of the program?

Just guessing from outside the program but it wasn't a secret that NIL compensation was coming. Maybe they were trying to get ahead of the July 1 "opening day". It will be interesting to see how OSU athletes benefit in this new era. Recruiting hasn't suffered in the last year.

So do you think schools that have sports Marketing programs are already doing this?Nike likely has office space already at the hole athletic department with a whole staff hired to promote NIL

Jeremy Darlow is working with several schools, so I'd be a bit surprised if he is no longer working with the Beavs but perhaps they had a one year contract. I would think with NIL, that his leadership in this area would be quite valuable.

It's always sounded to me like he was going to function pretty much as a player's agent, with the school picking up the tab rather than the player. We'll see how it all shakes out.
