I like our big guys. I think Amar has a legit shot at wining a title before he's done here. Coon at UM is great, but Amar has beat him a couple of times. It was freestyle I think, but it can't hurt the confidence. I think Zalesky saying he is under rated at 7 is saying something as well, as is bringing in Mellon. He was a good wrestler last year, and will make Dhesi work all year.

For what it's worth, one of the coaches up in the room says he truly believes Dhesi will be at the top of the podium. Can't wait to get the season going!.

Also with Colbray and Orndorff coming in soon, our future looks bright for the big guys.

I did not know that Crawford had a torn labrum last year. It explains why he seemed hesitant at times to shoot in on the legs as the shoulder injury seems it would make it difficult in pulling in the leg to finish. I had not heard that Colbray is going to Oregon State is there some public information out there on this? Or is this information insider information?
Any body know anything about the most recent reported commit Riley Jaramillo? I do not know much about him. Ihoghama Odighizuwa is supposed to join the team winter term I heard and will be great competition at 197.

Jaramillo is out of Churchill. Think he wrestled at 170 this summer. Was 5A state champ, 41-0 at 160 last year. 2nd in Fargo (Greco) this summer. Think he took first the year before as a Cadet at 152. Should be a solid addition..
Hadn't heard that about Colbray - that would be awesome... He's a beast.

I guess I was wrong on Colbray. I was doing a lot of reading this morning and tracking recruits and commits and I must have mixed him up with somebody else. I can't find where I saw it, so I probably made it up in my head. Sorry to get everyones hopes up....lol.
He's being recruited by everybody, but I hope he stays here. Just don't go to Boise State....

The wrestling room is deeper than it has been in years, and if you haven't attended a practice you should, there is some great coaching that goes on. Lot's of drill work, if a move is not executed to the level of expectation, it's re-shown, and people are called out or for not doing it right equally to those doing it right. Lot's of live wrestling and some very spirited battles, I think there will be a lot of very intense battles for starting positions this week, some of which will carry into the first couple tournaments to define starters.
We have a good chance at taking the Pac-12 championship this year, however, our biggest challenge will be ASU and more importantly staying healthy. We are pretty dinged up and added to that list last weekend.
Colbray has not committed to the Beavs or anybody at this point, hopefully Delgado will be instrumental in his recruiting process.
The intra-squad should be quite interesting!
GO BEAVS!
