According to this espn article it's down to us, dux, and Cal for the super talented point guard. Can't really fault her if she chose the other two, but I hope playing for a program that is playing for championships and a fan base that is invested makes a difference. Come play in front of the best fan base around Sabrina!! link

The highlights from the AA game showed Ionescu putting up a bunch of three's, and making them, but not a lot of game action. This video shows more of her game action. Looks like someone has been watching old game tape of Magic. Love the way she passes the ball - misdirection, no looks, etc. I really like what I've seen of Pivec, but a back court of her and Ionescu would be dominant! Size, speed, handles, both can drive and shoot the lights out. Sure would be fun to watch.

“There’s no pressure,” Ionescu said. “I made my visits earlier. Now, I’ve gotten a chance to see them play in the NCAAs and have a better idea where I might fit in best.” Only one finalist in the NCAA's and they are a perfect fit. Solid returning roster, good recruiting class, best coach in the PAC, contender, best fan support in PAC. usatodayhss.com/2016/jordan-brand-classic-undecideds-in-the-minority

Looking at the coaching staffs of $ucks, and Cal, I would want my daughter to go to OSU. The way Scott Rueck runs his program is top notch. But yes with her brother in eugene she will go there and get beat by OSU.

Pivec & Tudor > Ionescu I think there's a 85% chance Ionescu goes to $uck$ - 10% chance to Cal and 5% chance to OSU. Pivec+Tudor+Ionescu = a hell of a back court for four years. Landing Ionescu also would go a long way in keeping Westbrook home in 2017. If that happens, now your talking about the real possibility of UConn west. Rueck has the coaching chops to make that happen if he an make OSU a destination school for wbb.
Sadly, however, I agree with your probabilities.

I think we need to hold out more hope than many feel that Sabrina will think for herself and recognize that she and OSU would be a perfect fit. Her skillset and our program would be a lethal combination. The success for her personally will come wherever she plays, but the sky's the limit if she plays for the Beavs and Scott Rueck! Just because her brother is at uo doesn't guarantee anything. If her twin cares about his sister, it won't be about how groovy it is to go to the same college where he can ride the pine for the men while she excels. If she plays for OSU, it will pretty much be just as easy for them to see each other's games than if they're both in Eugene. Rueck has built the superior program without question, and she is clearly a sharp young woman. I can't base anything on inside information, but I have a good feeling about this. If I'm wrong, best of luck to her, but I won't feel sorry for her while OSU continues to have the better program and consistently goes dancing. I REALLY hope she signs with us, but she'll do what she feels is best, and either way we'll continue to be strong!

I'm expecting Rueck will take his program to more than just "consistently dancing". I expect and I bet the girls in the program expect to make consistent deep runs in the tourney from here on out.

I'm expecting Rueck will take his program to more than just "consistently dancing". I expect and I bet the girls in the program expect to make consistent deep runs in the tourney from here on out. I'm not sure what the future holds, but there are many many factors that play into that scenario and not too many teams can make that claim... UConn and Tennessee have been the truly dominant, with teams like ND, Stanford, Baylor, etc. making consistent deep runs, but not for near as long in recent times. A string of Pac 12 titles will be tough enough... and depending on the definition of "deep" I would think Sweet 16 runs could be had if we are a top three Pac12 team on a consistent basis. But, this league is tough and your future is completely dependent on "flighty" teen girls heading your way. That in itself makes an even tougher task as there are so many schools playing good women's hoops. And, with the advent of social media everyone is known and highly recruited.

I saw, earlier, on a Eugene station where Sabrina attended a lot of duckette games and she was getting gist bumps after each game from the duck women. Also, her brother is there next year as a walk on. I hate to say it, but I am betting evil empire. Too bad, because she gets better at both Cal and OSU, while at uo - she loses on the education side and having to be in a win 'at any and all' costs program in Spewgene. Although, she seems very introspective and may walk her own path.... In fact, my second 'guess' is none of the aforementioned three. Someone totally out of the blue and not in the PAC12. What OSU really needs is a solid replacement for Jamie ( maybe PIVIC, a solid replacement for Ruth ( probably Gulich , but she needs to improve her defense - both cover and s%#t blocking. I think she may already be a better inside - out scorer. Then, we need someone that can drive and kick , because Sydney is better at launching from outside. She gets a little careless with her passing when she penetrates. One last thing we need is another Deven Hunter. She, in my mind, was the unsung hero this year with her blocking out and strong hands - not to mention a little bit of a threat from outside. Rueck will get it sorted out and improvement will come, but - with what we know right now, I don't think we get to the final four again. It will take another year - unless we get Ionescu. The ducks will be good, but - they won't be playing team ball for a couple more years. Go Beavers
