Coach Rueck more often than not of late has opted for three basketball captains each season for his squad. Aleah Goodman was a captain this past season, so it would seem very likely that she will be called upon to be a primary leader and captain for the squad for the upcoming '20-'21 season.
Who would seem to be the next two best choices to serve as team captains along with Goodman in '20-21? Taylor Jones will likely be the team's best and most productive player next season, but is she ready to assume the captain's leadership duties as early as her sophomore season? Does anybody recall whether Sydney Wiese served as a captain for the Beavers in '14-'15, her sophomore season?

Are you sure Aleah was a captain also? I remember SR talking in an interview after a game and mentioning "the team captains, Mik and Destiny". But he may have misspoken.

Are you sure Aleah was a captain also? I remember SR talking in an interview after a game and mentioning "the team captains, Mik and Destiny". But he may have misspoken. Absolutely positive that Aleah was a co captain last year. And Taya will be the second one. Not sure we will have a third. |

She, Mik and Destiny represented the Beavers at the pre game meeting with the refs. As far as I know only captains are allowed there. |

I believe that Coach Rueck likes to have one underclassman serve as a captain for variety of reasons, including providing a logical point of leadership following the completion of the season.
Having Corosdale as a co-captain is logical and checks that box. Just wondering if there is a third individual who might be a worthy co-captain as well.
