That was fun. Great group of women.
Wow, they really kept hammering on how bad DePaul's defense was in that Regional semi-final, especially against Jamie. I know Bruno is a very respected coach in some circles, but the Beavs weren't impressed w/ his scouting and game prep it sounds like.

My favorite moment was when we had beaten Baylor (duh!) and we went to the team hotel and waited for the Beavs to arrive after the game. We got to hang out with all the excited parents and fans who were waiting there too. I remember there was more than one entrance to the hotel that the bus could park near so we kept pacing from one entrance to the other in hopes they would not sneak by us somehow.
Finally the bus arrived and the first person I got a hug from was Gabby's sister who I had met earlier at a pre-game function. Talk about a family resemblance......I actually thought it was Gabby when I first met her. She played for Cal-Irvine and of course their season had ended.
That was my highlight and the Final Four itself was a let down since we were one and done of course. We flew into Kansas City and had to drive our rental car across 3 states just to get to Indianapolis! Oh well, still some great memories! I do remember saying "Hi" to BobbyD who was there sitting with the OSU Athletic Dept. staff at the UConn game even though he had been canned by OSU and was working for the University of Michigan at the time. I blame him for loss, LOL.
