I am still amazed how good those guys were. Hit a fortified built up area, get in, quickly to the deed, get out and take no casualties. Amazing.

I marvel at this, but also think about the guys who out on the high seas, at night I believe, took out the pirate in a bobbing submarine with a headshot. That...is pretty damn good shooting. |

Most people don't realize how hard it is to take a building with hostiles inside. It usually means casualties. That is why I preferred jungle/bush. BTW, we were at a sniper demonstration once. Dummy in a jeep. We were about 10 yards away when the guy gets on the radio and tells the sniper to take his shot. Few seconds later, the dummy's head explodes. Couple seconds later we heard the shot. Guy was on a ridge a mile away. Those guys are better than pretty damn good. |
