Makes one angry that she is probably a millionaire now. Not fair that some people have it so easy. Makes one happy for another person who worked hard and sacrificed a lot to get to being NCAA all time leader in career triple doubles. She is a great WBB player. Heck she is a great basketball player period. Now she gets to enjoy some of what she earned. Cant you be pleased for her?Sheesh

She's the primary reason attendance at their home games was likely in the top 5 in the country (haven't seen the nationwide stats for 2019-20, but it it would have been #4 for 2018-19. That's a very big deal when it comes to a league that struggles to get the attention needed to pay the players well. Professional athletes, especially the stars, are paid much less than the value they bring to their league - they help out everybody, from owners to lower-level players with the attention they draw. If Sabrina is able to do that for the WNBA, it helps every young woman aspiring to have a basketball career.
I don't like her personally, and probably still wouldn't if she had gone to UConn, Notre Dame, etc, but I'm very glad for what she's doing for the sport. She made people pay attention to NCAA WBB the last few years that historically couldn't care less. I suspect their are even now many people who couldn't name a single WNBA player, yet know who Sabrina is.

OK so we're talking about charity donations. Thanks for the clarification. I hope she is generous with her endorsement earnings. Many pro athletes are and it is admirable. Many private citizens without endorsements also contribute to charities. Your Sabrina jealously is obnoxious. Get over it. Oh I’m over it. That doesn’t mean I can’t have a good laugh at her (and her publicists) occasional preposterous proclamations.

Seeing that she was close to Koby maybe she sees a path towards what he was doing w/WBB? Maybe that is what she meant by society. That would be a pretty neat deal (apologies Mike Riley...Reilly?)

Ionescu's deal is a step forward for women's athletics and will trickle down to help others who come after her.
Any speculation as to how much the deal with Nike is worth? I will throw out there $20 million over 5 years.
What do others think could be the value and the duration of her new deal with Nike?

Just saw it a couple of weeks ago.
Thought it was also interesting that Michael Jordan still earns about 5% on Jordan Brand sales as part of his licensing deal with Nike, according to Front Office Sports Jordan received $256 million from the deal in 2022 alone. Saw the show "Air" on tv the other night about Michael Jordan and his moms savvy negotiating skills. One tough cookie.
