Starting a new thread because the others are getting bulky and hard to manage....
Miscellaneous info from Rebkell - concerning a few recruits that OSU has had interest in the past year or so....
"Iowa picks up their third 2021 commit, Addison O'Grady. She's a 6 foot three post player out of Aurora Colorado and joins AJ Edinger, A 6 foot two forward out of Michiganand Sydney affolter A 6 foot wing out of Illinois. Booter is lining up a front court to complement Caitlyn Clark."
"O'Grady's commit might put Iowa on the radar of one of her prep teammates: 6 foot seven Lauren Betts Number one recruit in 2022." GO BEAVS !!

Suggest that you add the recruiting year so that the topic stays somewhat cohesive.

Any names out there coaches have been recruiting (2021) besides the big 3 (Taila, Payton, and Jersey)? There have been periodic visitors, social media interactions, etc., but none that we know have gained serious traction. Unless AAU happens, the coaches will likely spend a lot of time watching film on some prospects in case they miss on others. Right now, I think we’re in a pretty solid spot to land Talia and/or Payton. Greta has been recruiting both as well, and has known Payton for a long time. I think Talia and Payton are the top-2 right now, and I’d probably say Jersey is number 3. Adding both Talia and Payton would be great, but Talia may be the bigger need because she can play PG. Her playmaking and passing ability is off the charts. Probably a little bit more overlap in Payton’s skill set with Greta, Sasha, and Savannah, but she may be the best of that group. Talia is not the prototypical PG, but she may remind some of Wiese as a bigger PG, but she has a much larger frame than Syd. Loves shooting threes off the bounce.

bhf - thanks for the info about Talia & Payton.....I had no real take on Talia, but from your description she sounds a bit like a 5'11 Destiny....Not totally alike, but similar in style and skill. Is that a fair comparison? If so, I'd love it if the Beavs could land her....Plus, to grab another prime time player out of Washington is a good thing for future recruiting in that talent rich state.
I'd always assumed that Payton was the unquestioned superstar of the three. But that was based more on inference than evidence. At any rate, the program needs a dynamite recruiting year to remain an elite program.
It also needs for Morris and Mitrovic to become impact players - but that's a separate topic altogether. GO BEAVS !!

GO BEAVS !! I think they play with a similar flair, and both have a similar, strong build, but I think Talia is maybe a little better in the half court, while I think Destiny is at her best making plays in transition. But yes, both are great passers and have a little bit of flashiness to their game. Payton and Talia both have a little bit of a flashier game than Greta, Talia when she has the ball in her hands, and Payton because she is quick and bouncy, and has a great midrange game. Greta is the type of player that if you watch her, she might not "wow" you right away, but she is pretty solid in all aspects - she'll defend, handle the ball, distribute, hit shots, and she just gets it done. Maybe similar to Pivec in that respect. Payton probably has the highest credentials of the group with her USAB and Gatorade awards and her highest rankings, but the other two aren't far behind.

Payton has been my biggest want in this class, Jersey and Talia would just be icing on the cake. Hopefully the athletes' relationship with each other will help get them to Corvallis.

I would take all three of them, in any order, any time - the sooner the better ! We need some great student athletes and some good news during this virus related sports shutdown. Good thing that Oregon, as a State, is one of the best places to be safe !

This may be old news. Not sure. But there is not much going on, so I bring it to your attention......
I see that Jersey Wolfenbarger was selected Gatorade POY in Arkansas this year..... I haven't seen anything posted about Sasha's season....Or was it cut short?
Anyone have a summary of how things went for Sasha this past season? GO BEAVS !!!

Yes, Jersey did steal the Gatorade POY honor from Sasha , but Sasha got pay back defeating Jersey's team in the state playoffs. Sasha and Maryam Dauda, the #1 post player in 2021, were named tournament Co-MVP. Fayetteville and Bentonville were named Co-state champs, since both of their teams made it to the championship, but were unable to play.

Yes! Destiny likes her family and her family likes her!
The stuff about things going in circles or whatever by her mother was about Destiny's brother and not her.
