Excellent - hope he brings some swagger. Hoping he has the impact of our recent Jucos in KK and GPII

OSU his only P5 offer but was also offered by Temple and Wichita State. A couple of Temple fans in the Twitter replies seemed disappointed he did not sign with them so may be a good sign.

Other than the two listed in post above, hopefully better contributions than SMM, Silva, Potts, Dastrup, Stacey, Muller, Dew. Did I miss anyone?

Never a bad thing to add a shooter, and it appears if nothing else he is that. Shot 45.5 from 3 at JC. And though far fewer attempts (33 versus 187 this year) he shot 39.5 from 3 in his freshman year at E Michigan. Whether he can add more to the team than that we’ll have to wait and see.

Here's some highlights: www.verbalcommits.com/players/tariq-silverMy view of his game is that he has a fluid, consistent release that is backed by his solid shooting percentage. He also has a high release that should translate to the next level of defenders. However, most of his highlights come off the pass rather than creating his own shots off the dribble, so he will need offensive ball movement to score. When run off the 3-point line, he appears to have a good mid-range pull-up game. Doesn't look particularly quick, nor does he look like a slasher that can break down a defender, so will rely on his length and fluidity. Summary view - should be able to contribute right away, but not someone who can take over games.

Offensively we really struggled this last year without consistent outside scoring. There is absolutely nowhere to go but up there (shooting under 30% from 3 in conference play is just atrocious). So he definitely fills an immediate need which is nice. Even if we only get back to being middle of the pack or simply below average it will be an improvement and help open up more of an inside game next year so regardless of recruiting rankings I like the addition.

Dont we have Zach and Lucas? Aren't we looking for a big? Who's replacing Tres?

Still looking for a grad transfer or two...hard to recruit on campus when kids can't officially visit.

Dont we have Zach and Lucas? Aren't we looking for a big? Who's replacing Tres? Franklin chose to be redshirted because he and Tres played the same position. I would assume the thought process is that he will take a chunk of those minutes. Zach and Lucas are good shooters yes, but Zach has been streaky at best through three years and Jared didn't exactly shoot the lights out most of the season until the Stanford game and Pac-12 tournament (although I expect that to be better). So yeah, I think the addition addresses a need.
A big is needed too. I am very worried about our post play but I did like what Tucker showed down the stretch.

Some freshman highlights when he was at Eastern Michigan. Not an expert by any means but I do like him being able to break down his man off the dribble. No defensive film but he has long arms which are a plus.
