I am absolutely opposed to heckling opposing players. I know some dugouts are a little mouthy. But singling out an individual player is uncalled for. They are just kids! And their parents may well be in the stands listening to the comments and forming an impression of ALL Beavers fans based on the actions of a few.
I love to heckle opposing coaches and especially umpires. That's a given. Don't waste your time yelling a kids.

Many of these players could have gone pro where they would have been heckled every game. Because they are playing college they are off limits?

Really... so literal. And, because they are 18+ and have some chance of playing pro ball they are fair game??
They are college players and heckling college athletes is ridiculous. Booing or voicing loud opinions over a bush league play is one thing. But foul mouthed name calling and general belittling says more about the fan/fan base than the player/opponent. It's always present, doesn't make it right.
I'm sure if you have 18+ y/o "kids" it's exactly how you want them treated on the field, at their job.
