Hopefully he becomes the starter. With a ratio of one interception for every two touchdowns, his passes should be easier to pick off. Maybe the second coming of Joey five-pick? LOL

LOL I was going to ask if anyone looked up stats/highlights. Don't remember BC being a story during the season. Thought they even lost to Kansas? I know I saw they were picked like last/next to for 2020 ACC by a gaming site.

Recruiting young QBs must be weakness down south.

Recruiting young QBs must be weakness down south. Question - I guess I could look it up, but I wonder how many grad transfer type QB's tosdtr has brought in, in recent years?
I mean, if I was a fr/soph/jr QB at uo, and I saw consistently one and done transfers being brought in as presumptive starters, would that telegraph to the other QB's that the staff doesn't think that much of their abilities? This, along with the high injury rate of Oregon QB's, why would I want to come in as a frosh? I mean, you work your ass off to be a starter, and then, just like being passed over for a promotion at a company, the guy they bring in from the outside is now the "manager"? Wouldn't set well with me, especially if I was working hard, and waiting my turn.
I know it ultimately comes down to who wins the starting job competition, but as we have seen at OSU, it often takes time to develop into a starter. One and done, unless the system is roughly the same, or stupid easy to learn, is a bit of a head scratcher for me.

LOL Well, if he is the second coming of Joey five-pick he will win a bunch of games, have a nice duration pro career, make a s%#tload of money, and still remain a good guy and an asset to his community. Guess we can only hope!

Doesn't say much about recruiting out belief in who they have. The job is open, but grad transfers typically aren't signed on as a backup.

But especially, when playing the Beavs. Hard to win any game with five picks - especially the Civil War. I do however get the point - five picks in any one game was not Joey's norm. Glad he had that game when he did!

I am glad also! Beaver D had a lot to do with it. I also am definitely NOT in the root for the Ducks crowd, no way no how. And I’m even married to one! I have met Joey Harrington and also know about all of the sincere good work he does that goes unnoticed. I know a good person when I see one, Duck or not. That’s all.

Fair enough - I figured there was a bit of a back story on that one - I have read enough of your posts to surmise that - thanks for sharing. Even though I hate all things grellow, I know some great people that have come from that institution, in spite of it all!
It is also one of the reasons it was hard to hate Helfrich when he was at the helm. My take on it was, he was actually too nice of a guy - uo can't have that! Give me someone like chippy, with Willie Lyles behind the curtain, and uo fan is happy! Also, for those of us long time residents of Oregon, the old school uo fans, like my cousin, who has been a fan since the '60's, is just as horrified by what uo has become as the rest of us!

Sometimes you can play a sonata on a piano, and sometimes you run into Jake Cookus. That's life.

Oregon's situation is akin to building a great race car, then having no one good enough to drive it! JS is building the Beaver rig and still able to come up with multiple drivers.
The mascot for Oregon will go from "Ducks" to "Headless Horsemen"...LOL!

It recruited several QBs including a JC with no D1 experience. The rest of the OSU roster I believe has 1 D1 start. They recruited a portal guy with dozens of D1 starts. Wouldn't that mean they have more experience at driving a rig, just not theirs?
