Just talked to her and got a couple pictures. The emergency vascular procedure seemed to go well. The doctor is optimistic. She is still scared to death about amputation if the procedure doesn't hold. The femur surgery recovery is long. She can put no weight on the leg yet period. It hurts both of us that we have not seen each other now for a week since her fall. It is one thing we all have to deal with us until we beat the $hit out of this f'ing virus.
i cannot even to begin to thank you folks so much for your love, your prayers, your support. It means a ton to both mrs sage and myself. Beaver nation is great and the people on this board are even better. Thank you so much again. Let's roll.

Hopefully Mrs. Sage will be able to re-hab at home. A nursing/rehabilitation center during these times would scare the hell out of me. Prayers and best wishes to both of you!
Go Mrs. Sage!! Go Beavs!!

This does not seem to be a problem in Bend yet. All the facilities jumped to the front and locked themselves down. No visitors period. I have not seen mrs sage for a week.

Best being safe and having the tough part of recovery be in medical facility. It's tough not to see each other, but easier on the mind to know she's well cared for. Having her at home too soon can be super stressful. Every little thing is worrisome. Once she's thru the worst home care is much easier on the mind! Both of you will be well.

You are right. I have neither the knowledge or the equipment to take care of her medical needs. Thank you for your friendship.

You are right. I have neither the knowledge or the equipment to take care of her medical needs. Thank you for your friendship. I hear you Sage. My wife broke her leg 3 years ago (spiral fracture below the knee) and spent 2 months in a rehab facility. Their goal was to maintain the motion in her knee joint. I was very glad that it didn't fall on me to perform the therapy tasks. Do you have the equipment you might need already? We have a folding wheelchair ramp and a rollator (wheeled walker) we'd be happy to lend you. Rollators aren't that expensive. I recommend getting a model with big wheels as they are easier to use on uneven ground.

Thanks. Because of her previous spinal problem we have a regular walker, a Hugo big wheel walker and a wheel chair. Plus a great ramp up the deck. I think we are OK. I appreciate the offer.

As Bob Dylan says "Keep on keeping on". We're here for you and Mrs. Sage - God bless you both, heal well, hang in there, and if the fact that we are threatening to come over and "help" doesn't motivate her into a strong recovery, I don't know what will

You are right. I have neither the knowledge or the equipment to take care of her medical needs. Thank you for your friendship. You both will get through this and have great stories to tell. You are both strong, and smart enough to realize what you can and can't do to help each other. Thanks for the updates. I find myself checking in the middle of the night to see if you are doing okay. Prayers for both of you. It is tough on you that you can't see each other.

Maybe, just maybe, mrs sage will be transferred to a rehab facility today (Monday) if after the doctors check her out and they can find a bed. She will not be able to put any weight (zero weight) on her leg for at least a month, not even a toe touch to floor. We'll see. Will probably hear later this morning, early afternoon. I will be there when they wheel her in so at least we can get some real face time. Rehab facilities are locked down, too.

Fingers crossed she gets out of hospital, then into rehab and you get to see each other in person. Go SAGES!
