Any idea about who might be good candidates for the important assistant coaching positions? Legit candidates...ones who we can afford and can be a good recruiter or high level technician. |

Really hoping for Jamil Kelly. He was volunteer assistant at ASU last year. Olympic silver medalist, multiple international accolades and coached junior world teams... previously coached at Stanford, Cal Poly and NC State. Would be a huge add. |

Looks like he cleaned house, he is the only person in the coaches list right now. Will probably bring a lot of ASU/OSU connections here.

The GT's piece on the 5th, left a small opening for the current assistants:
"He said he has not made any staff decisions yet and will meet with Oregon State’s current group of assistants as soon as he arrives in Corvallis. For now, he is still in Phoenix and will remain there until the coronavirus pandemic slows down."
I heard he made his way to Oregon on Monday, so some of these decisions may be known soon.

Ahh thanks. I think I saw an article somewhere else re: Meeks specifically. But in hindsight it was probably more speculation on his availability than anything else. |

ASU just announced they’ve hired Frank Molinaro as an assistant. That’s a ridiculously great coaching staff...
Hopefully we hear some good news about our staff soon!

I'm assuming university hiring freeze means we aren't going to hear about an assistant any time soon.
My son's team facing the same thing as their head coach retired and no word on a replacement and apparently everything came to a screeching halt sometime during initial phone screens. Good times.

I am aware of one potential assistant hire that some of the wrestlers on the team have talked to me about but not of any others so far. If he is in fact hired then I feel it would be a solid hire. He was a 4-time NCAA All-American, 2-time NCAA Champion, and is from the west coast. |
