Slocum has until April 7 to declare if she wants to be draft-eligible as an early entry. The 2020 WNBA Draft will be conducted "virtually" and aired live on ESPN on April 17 at 4 pm PT.
Pivec is currently projected to be taken anywhere between 11 and 17. The Seattle Storm currently hold the #11 selection in Round 1.
Each of the three rounds has 12 selections.

I really hope Mik can make a team. That league is terribly hard to make and stick in.

Personally I think Destiny will return next year.
It would be really cool for Mik to go to the storm. One thing Mik has going for her is her versatility. One thing against her is that she is not as flashy as some other players.

Pivec to the Storm would be great. Unless she wants to get away from the PNW.

Both Mik and Destiny took a hit this year with respect to their rankings. Mik dropped from being mentioned on a lot of Preseason AA teams to honorable mention. Destiny from being mentioned to totally out. Destiny probably will not declare, but Mik not being allowed to play in the tournament really hurt her. She had been playing really well her last couple of games and I am sure she would have excelled in the playoffs. Fortunately, the WNBA does not really scout that much so they might still be going by her last seasons' ratings. It is important that she gets picked in the first round because that will give her more wiggle room into making a team not entirely based on training camp. The training camp does not last long so it presents a very short window.
in no way should Destiny consider entering the draft early this season. Her stock dropped to much to warrant a any sort of worthwhile pick, but she can make that up with even a decent showing next season. Had she not dropped so much it might have made sense.

I agree about Destiny. No matter what she accomplished this year, she (and every other point guard in the conference) was going to play second fiddle to Ionescu. She'll get a lot more attention next year. There's also the disappointment connected to this season with all the injuries/illnesses and the tournament being canceled. I don't think she wants to go out that way, particularly if she's not a lock for the first round.
I'd be very, very surprised if she left.

While the WNBA Draft is currently scheduled to take place on April 17 on ESPN at 4 pm PT, I remain very skeptical that training camp will take place as it appears that the entire WNBA season is in jeopardy due to the dangers of the virus.
Even if the unlikely decision to start WNBA training camps following April 30 is given, consider the logistics involved in having to test all training camp participants and closely monitor their health conditions with respect to COVID-19 throughout the season. The nature of basketball requires close contact, something that can't be allowed in this age of a contagious virus that can be spread through airborne means.
I used to pride myself on being an optimist. Now, I am trying to accept the likelihood that high school, collegiate, and pro sports that involve any type of bodily contact will be banned for the foreseeable future.

bhf - - I totally get what you're saying....But, unfortunately, you didn't say enough...
Basketball banned for the "foreseeable future"!! For some people the foreseeable future is next Friday. For others it's 5 years from now....
We all know sports are shut down for now. But for how long? The most practical question, in my mind, is will football season kick off in September? I don't see how. Football in Sept. means practice in August, and that seems entirely too soon considering what we're going through right now and what is predicted the country will go through in the next 3 or 4 months...
If anything will speed the virus its 100 men sweating, smashing and huddling for a few months.... The south will go into culture shock, but who really believes we will see a kickoff in September.
Basketball starting January 1, 2021 seems a much more likely scenario. So my view of "foreseeable future" is that day. If anyone else has a different idea for foreseeable future, I'd enjoy reading about it..... GO BEAVS !!

Haven't heard this, but I think it's the only way forward for sports. Every competitor, coach, and official needs a test every week to be cleared for practice and games. Maybe in July, our country will have enough tests available. This doesn't address spectators, but games may be TV only.

I also don't see a WNBA season happening this year. At least not in the summer. Probably not in the Winter either. That is when most overseas leagues are playing. The women get paid more overseas so they would probably follow the money.
If this season does not happen, there is also the issue of players from two drafts competing for rookie spots in the same year. If that happens I don't see why players with another year of eligibility left would even declare early, because it is not a given that it will be safe for the overseas'leagues to start. There are more countries involved in which the virus has to run its course. It is also highly likely that many nations are not really keeping track of all the infected so as to make its eradication most effective. The few countries that might be safe to play will be inundated with veteran players who would usually be signed with other teams. Unless you are a high profile rookie it will be very hard to get a job. This might be the end of basketball for some of the less talented players for whom, there always existed some place for them to play.
It's freaky and telling how much a single event like this can impact the whole world. Gives degrees of Creedence to how a far more destructive catastrophic event could have totally impacted society in the past and completely changed our present perspective on history.

With very limited live sports content being available during the past month, Friday's two-hour telecast of the 2020 WNBA Draft should have a captive audience with record ratings for the event.
Pivec has most recently been projected anywhere from #10 to Phoenix and #23 to Connecticut. Her median projection is about #15 to New York. The Liberty have five picks currently in the top 15 selections, so it is possible that Pivec may get an opportunity to make that roster and play with Ionescu, the prohibitive favorite to be drafted #1 overall. One mock draft that I saw has Sabally going first overall.

I would be shocked if NY didn't draft Ionescu number 1, just for her name recognition and marketing alone. I doubt they are going to bring in 5 rookies so I would expect them to package picks and move up or trade a couple of them for future picks. I actually think SI and Pivec would work well together.

The Liberty traded away Tina Charles and acquired more draft picks, plus a throw in player. Basically gave Charles away, which is how most trades in the WNBA seem to go. They are in rebuilding mode for sure.
edited--NY has a crowded back court already, that doesn't seem like a good place for Pivec to end up. Already had Durr, Nurse, Boyd, Clarendon, Johannes and Allen, added Walker-Kimbrough and Hill in trades, and almost certainly will be drafting Ionescu. Unless they are gonna unload about half of those players, I think Pivec would get completely lost in the shuffle.
