That leaves us 16-8 with two games left on the pre-conference schedule. This record doesn't bode well going into league play. With our first three series being against Arizona, Washington and UCLA we could be .500 or worse after those series. With the way we've struggled at the plate it's very possible. Hope not.
I was ruminating on the idea that if we played in another, less historically great conference we'd have a better shot at making the tourney year to year but being in the Pac 12 OSU needs something to get at least some top recruits. I painfully give organ credit for hiring Mike White. He is a world class pitcher and has an Australian accent which was way cool. He created the momentum for the donation of 17 mil to facilities that I'm sure helps with recruiting.
Yes, I know, we are coached by softball royalty in Laura Berg but that ain't doin it; for my expectations anyway :-) Maybe we could have some gimmicks going during the games or special guests so players would thinks it's cool to play for the beavers. Something dammit! How good is the George Fox softball coach?
