Kind of shows that the rankings are flawed.

... but OSU was one win away from being ranked #1 in the country LOL We wouldn’t have stayed there very long. Yep. Some weaknesses have been exposed. Add in the injury problem. But the real factor, imho, is that the PAC 12 is brutally strong. I can't believe the quality of play from even the bottom teams in the league. I am hoping for deep tournament runs for all Pac 12 teams that make the field except the duckers.

The team competes hard and puts itself in position to win, so hopefully the experience of fighting to the very end so often has prepared the squad for a nice run in Vegas, one game at a time...

The Yucks are the beast of the conference, but there are a lot of monsters in this cage match of a conference tourney. My dream is the Beavs running to the title game and taking them down a peg, but however it plays out, the best women's basketball top to bottom is the Pac-12 this year.

The #1 in Bracketology came came after the struggle at Liberty, which at the time seemed a major reality check on any lofty rankings. While it indeed was that, I am surprised to see that Liberty closed the season with a top 100 RPI and tied for 2nd in ASUN conference behind FGCU (who is projected as a #9 seed). That ended up being a modestly useful road win in the long run.

Still would have been a great accomplishment for the ladies to say this season!
