Today's attendance was 5,739, which brought the total for the year to 100,337 - average of 5,902. Last year we averaged 5,457, and 2 years ago it was 4,777.

It is nice to see the increase in attendance, this team deserves our support. Next year let's go for 6k!
GO BEAVS!!!

Just entice the students to get into WBB, and could easily surpass 7K. Can anyone tell me why OSU students do not support these women?

Or they aren't sure what a "Gill Coliseum" is.

A number of posts over the years have wondered why there is not a dedicated student section where the students do not have to sit with old people.

It MIGHT have something to do with the schedule. Almost every game is Friday night or Sunday noon-ish.

The seating for WBB is not broken, so I hope they don't try to "fix" it. Unlike the men's games, for WBB the lower bowl, some of which is GA, is always filled. At least 1/4 of the lower bowl is always empty for the men's games. Not so for the women, and the atmosphere is so much better.
If enough students showed up to WBB games, perhaps they'd merit their own section. But they don't. So they don't.

Well, perhaps if decent seats are set aside for the students, they would show up in greater numbers. Why not give them entire endzone, surrounding the band? Their numbers and enthusiasm they bring could make a great atmosphere even better in Gill. Students at oregon, UofA, and ASU are bringing it, making those venues tough places to play.

If those schools can get students to show up, surely we can as well. I remember the massive rally UA did during WNIT to get students in there and it worked. Maybe osu focused so much on this family thing it really did make the fanbase more old people and relatives than students.

They do a great job of putting students into the seats. It's just that those students happen to be 11 years old.
