Several losses in the bottom half of the Top 25 that MAY affect the Beavs and their eventual Top 16 ranking.....
# 12 Texas A & M # 13 Arizona # 15 Kentucky #16 DePaul #18 Iowa
ALL LOST today.....If the Beavs can win 2 in Vegas they should be sitting pretty good.... GO BEAVS !!

Some brutally bad losses. Several teams trying to back out of top 4 seeds in the Tourney.

Well Pac-12 tourney’s 2nd game will face Stanford. Can the Beavs beat Stanford this time? 0-2 vs them so far.
Win the 1st game will still have a chance for the top 16 seed.

Both games were very close. Very difficult to beat the same team three times in a year. I don’t think there’s any question that we can beat the Cardinal. Will we beat them if we see them in round 2? The “signature” wins haven’t really been there. We played every good team tough - even Oregon with games that were in the 5-7 point range late. I will say that the women have been good about beating all the teams they “should” have, which is something that the men could sure learn from. Of course, the men’s team is so wildly inconsistent that I’m not sure I could tell you who they should beat. They beat the top 3 teams, the got housed by the ducks and Wildcats in the second meeting. It would be really great to beat a couple of the teams that are rated higher than us in the PAC 12 tourney, though our track record doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence that it will happen. No doubt in my mind that if we get a #4 tourney bid it will be because we beat everyone we should have and a couple of good teams in conference and OOC earlier. If we get a #3, my guess it will be because we beat ‘furd at least in our conference tourney. It helps to have a great conference in which the top half of the teams are top 15-caliber in the country.

It should be noted that those schools with whom we're contending for that 4 seed will also have conference tournaments. If they lose in it, they won't be losing to a team anywhere near the quality of Stanford.

Unfortunately the Beavs have some history of losing to low seeds in the PAC 12 tournament. Also we have the unenviable task of trying to beat a team (WSU) three times in a row in one season. Last but not least the Beavs seem to allow every lower ranked team in the conference stay close to them in games (and in a few occasions beat them).
This would seem to be a year where OSU could deserve a few breaks to go there way at this point, but with all the bad breaks along the way I am not holding my breath for a positive outcome in the tournament.
However, in a way the Beavs are playing with house money, because I do not believe most of the so-called experts think they will go very far at all in the NCAA tournament.

OSU has only played WSU once this year, there was no road trip to the Washington schools this season.

I always go to the game when OSU plays @ UW, but they weren't here this year. Really a bummer for Mik not getting a home town game her Sr. year.

Just curious why we didn't move up to the #5 seed for the tournament?

Just curious why we didn't move up to the #5 seed for the tournament? The tie breaker with ASU is the fact that they beat the *ucks and we did not.

True. Even tougher: To beat a team that has already beaten you twice this year.
GO BEAVS !!
