at the 3rd quarter break Mik heaves the ball with 1.4 seconds left. And is fouled/hacked. Do we just not call that because "It'll never go in" Except she did put one in not long ago. *slightly after the buzzer

It was a 6 point game at about the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter, FWIW. It was a much closer game than the score indicates. If ANYBODY in addition to Melgoza hit a few shots it would've gone down to the wire. They had quite a few wide open 3s rim out. Yeah, if they wouldn't have missed shots it would have been a lot closer. We just got lucky.

OSU shot twice as many FTs, huge advantage in 3 point shooting (12 made vs. 4) and couldn't shake UW until the last 4+ minutes of the game. Calling it a blowout is simply not indicative of what the game was.

Washington has the 2nd most steals in the Pac but the Beav's only had 7 TO's to the Huskies 9. I'd say OSU get a well earned victory.

Beavs had 4 turnovers in the first quarter, then had their fifth at the very beginning of the second quarter. Here we go again, was running through my mind, but only two after that. Is this the first game we've wound up with fewer turnovers than the other team?

Solid win for OSU. As Rueck stated, he was stubborn in switching from man defense to zone. As soon as we were in zone our defensive stops improved. This was a solid win, even if UW is not top caliber in PAC-12. We beat a team that we should beat at home, and, we got better as the game went on.

Not sure if tournament stats are included as season stats. If they are, Mik should surpass Ruth in career rebounds. She'd be a great chess player; watching her box out before the shot is even taken. Mik's always thinking a few moves ahead. Last night was a fun game to watch, not necessarily because of our three-ball, but our offensive rebounds! It was also nice to see our attendance not take a dip because of last month's results.

I don't recall Mik ever guarding Melgoza. Destiny started on her, then Tudor, then Aleah, but we also went 2-3 match up zone a lot in the 2nd half.

Let's hope for 4 more in the PAC-12 Tourney followed by a nice run in the NCAA tourney as well.

If Stanford loses to ASU Sunday, UA wins vs Cal, and OSU defeats WSU, then OSU's 1st game in PAC-12 is WSU, and, 2nd game is UA. And semi-final is likely UCLA. I think that is the best bracket lineup for OSU.

Let's hope for 4 more in the PAC-12 Tourney followed by a nice run in the NCAA tourney as well. They do count, but probably shouldn't. When Syd was working her way up the all time 3 point ladder nationally, I looked to see who was the player with the most made in a career. It's Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis from Connecticut with 398. That's very impressive, but the girls tied for second were Laurie Koehn from Kansas State and Heather Butler from U T Martin with 392 each. (Syd finished with 373.) Mosqueda-Lewis played at Connecticut when they were in the process of winning several consecutive national championships, so she played in 24 NCAA tournament games. That's 80% of a regular season's number of games. Koehn and Butler, obviously, played in nowhere near that many - maybe 6 or 7? Probably a numerical advantage for Mosqueda-Lewis in conference tournament games as well, so I feel confident in assuming that, overall, she had at least 20 more games than the other 2 in which to post the number. That's one example. I would imagine there are others.
