Actually, 16 boards to catch Ruth. She started the night right at 1,000, and got 11 in this game.

Taylor was awesome. She had a two really nice acrobatic scoop finishes. She was quick to realize when to kick it out and when to go to work. There were also a few times she just bodied Miller.
I think Miller has a really bright future for UW. Big strong, and solid instincts.

You gotta figure OSU isn't gonna lose w/ Goodman and Tudor combining for 9-19 behind the arc. Plus Jones having her way inside. Surprising it was so close for so long.
I like Melgoza a lot. UW has really struggled the last 3 years but she's been terrific. Between her and Hristova at WSU, that's a couple really talented players who have gotten almost no recognition due to their team's lack of success.

Looks like ASU assuring themselves 5th spot tonight.
Furd loss may get UCLA into tie for 2nd.
Question... tie break for UCLA and Furd?
Both swept by ucks. Split with each other. UCLA split with UA. Furd 0-1 cuz they only play once? Seems like a glitch in the unbalanced schedule.

It was a solid game from the BEAVS. Most nights Melgoza is going to get her points, she is just that good. As long as we took care of the rest of the team we had a big advantage. It is hard for one player to beat a team.

a W for sure, but for most of the game way too close... All's well that ends well.

Do they end up going down to the next highest common opponent they played an equal number of times?

I know Mik is up for the defensive award, but for my money Aleah did a better job of defending Melgoza. What did you guys think?

It was a 6 point game at about the 5 minute mark of the 4th quarter, FWIW. It was a much closer game than the score indicates. If ANYBODY in addition to Melgoza hit a few shots it would've gone down to the wire. They had quite a few wide open 3s rim out.
