Does the ceremony for the seniors really start at 1145 tomorrow as noted at one place on the OSU web site? I cannot remember from previous years and I did not notice this time stated anywhere else.

They didn't announce the time Friday at the game that I heard but they did say it was going to be before the game. 11:45 sounds right.

I prefer Senior Day festivities following the game. It's an emotional experience, sometimes hard to focus on the game right after that.

The difference between good and great ? Effort and execution.Show me........ Very true. If the Beavs execute consistently on offense, they can beat quality teams. The team defense is usually there, but the biggest variable is how the team can limit turnovers and execute on offense.

I'm not sure how they did it this season. During Plum, Osahor and company's Sr. season they honored them after the game.

Beavers should beat WSU on Thursday (day 1 of conference tournament) and can beat Stanford (quarter finals) and UCLA (semi-finals). If Kat would warm up to 42% 3 point shooting, and Goodman and Pivec hit their season averages, I like OSU's chances to get to the finals.

Willtalk sees what he wants to see. If he thought that Slocum and Pivec were shooting every time they had the ball, he needs to rewatch the game on the PAC-12 Network. Ionescu shoots more shots per game than Slocum. All of Oregon's Big 3 shoot more often than Pivec. Someone has to shoot for OSU. I grow weary of willtalk's analysis. Slocum and Pivec average close to 5 assists each per game. They are not ballhogs. Both Slocum and Pivec have efficient field goal percentages, especially for guards. I don't really care that willtalk "raked Sabrina over the coals." She is a smart enough player not to listen to willtalk. Ionescu knows when to assert herself and when to create shots for others. She didn't listen to willtalk and then change the way she played. Read how ridiculous that cause and effect inference is above. Willtalk lives in a fantasy. Willtalk basically went around many other boards guaranteeing that Hailey Van Lith was going to be a Beaver as if Willtalk had some very close insider information within the program. I have no idea what you are talking about win respect to my posting on Hailey Van Lith. I know very little about her and would never make such a comment. My only comment on Van Lith in respect to Oregon St was after she committed to Louisville. I said that her game suited Louisville better and Oregon St might be better off without her because she is so ball dominate. You see I am not a fan of any guard being both ball dominate and the primary scorer, unless she is on a team that is devoid of other talent. No I am not related to Sabrina and I never raked her over the coals in person. That would be inappropriate in many respects. My comments were reserved for the multiple WCBB boards. And no I did not instigate my perspective but just added them to existing conversations. Basically that she had become a ball hog. I have watched her play from her freshman season on and could see the difference after she came back from team USA. I brought Sabrina into the conversation as an example of how even a smart and fundamentally sound player can fall into some bad habits. The best part of Sabrina's game is her decision making and even she had a year where that part of her game disappeared. Too many of you take offense over criticizing aspects of a players game. It is nothing personal. Those negative aspects can disappear in a day. Both Slocum and Pivec can and have played better. Yes I see things differently. I see it in the context of what makes the entire team better as opposed to individuals getting their individual stats. As fans of individual players some of you might not. As to shooting stats, they do not always tell whole story. It is not how many shots a player takes but when. Slocum last season had some of her most effective and highest scoring games when she took shots within the flow of the offense. This is how she played in the early part of this season. Pivec on the other hand had a great season last year. All the issues she had in her sophomore season disappeared. Basically because she was not making bad decisions. She seemed to regress this season. Other posters have commented that she was trying to do to much. This is very accurate. That is exactly what being too ball dominate implies. If a player plays within the offensive flow they will actually be far more effective. It is not about how many shots you take, but when you take them. There is also a time for creating off the dribble, but it is not when there are 25 seconds left on the shot clock. The ball handlers in this last game against Wash St played very well. They created ball movement with passing instead of just off the dribble. This is the way the game is meant to be played. No team can consistantly win relying on a few players. You never know who's shots will be dropping on any given day and when your usual scorers have bad days then it has to come from somewhere else. If the offense is geared to players creating off the dribble when that aspect of the offense is taken away it becomes difficult to return to ball movement via passing mid game. The way the offense ran this last game was very effective. It was a combination of passing and attacking the lane when it was open as opposed to trying to create an open lane off the dribble. Goodman had the hot hand and her teammates found her when she was open. Slocum and Pivec are also very effective scoring off a passes from a teammates. It just took for the next game for Scotts message to get across. As far as I am concerned they are now playing well and their past play does not matter. What matters is how well they are playing now and that is not of just reflected by the points or stats they end up with. If they continue to play smart their chances of going far in the NCAA's are vastly improved. I loved the way they played this last game.
