Some significant games for other teams trying to secure a top 4 seed in the Tourney, possible implications for the Beavs. Texas A&M lost at home to Alabama and Missouri St. lost on the road to Illinois St. Other teams losing certainly can't hurt OSU's chances of hosting...

A&M currently listed as a 4 seed, so that definitely helps the cause.

That was their 3rd loss to an unranked team, and they are going to get another loss with their last game vs #1 SC. That would put them at 7 losses, and they were just ahead of OSU in RPI before this loss. OSU should jump them in seeding assuming no stumbles.

Further to that, the NCAA currently has A&M ranked 2 above us in RPI, but Alabama is #64. Two wins this weekend might flip that for us.

Remember that pesky Pacific team that OSU had a hard time putting away in the NIT? They played UCLA close too. Something went terribly wrong with them. They lost at home to a really bad USF team and dropped to 8-9 in the WCC. Outside of Gonzaga that conference is pretty weak top to bottom (BYU and San Diego are tied for 2nd--BYU went 0-4 against Pac 12 teams including Utah and Washington St.; Washington beat USD by 18 on the road and it really wasn't that close). It shouldn't even be possible to fail to have a winning record when they probably have the 2 most talented players in the conference in Higgins and McDavid, yet somehow they have managed.

Miami’s struggles are also surprising. They are a .500 team that won’t make the Dance - that’s a long fall for a team that once was highly ranked and has one of the best bigs in college.

Higgins is putting up good stats, but there is something about her game that doesn't translate well to team wins. She shot poorly against OSU, while McDavid looked like an All-American in that game.

That makes sense - didn’t realize she was injured. Looks like it’s been a nagging foot injury. Still, it seems that program should be able to handle an injury better - makes it more impressive that OSU has held relatively steady through this season.
