If Beavs can win their next four games, they should move up to a hosting seed. That would likely require them to beat an #11 seed and a #3 seed (UCLA or Stanford) in the PAC-12 tourney.
Having said that, focus on one game at a time....

Agreed - finish strong and the committee might trust this team has figured out how to adapt to the injuries and deserves a hosting seed. Stumble in the next 3-4 games and I don’t see it t happening. I actually think a 5 seed might work out better in that it allows them to play the underdog with less pressure. They’d lose the Gill advantage, but that can also add to the pressure.

Let's hope that all the projected #4 seeds lose during the next two weeks, including Arizona, DePaul, Gonzaga, and Texas A&M. Also would be helpful if the other projected #5 seeds (Indiana, Florida State, and Missouri State) dropped a game or two as well.
OSU's strength of schedule was at #4 as of today.

Stingy defense, offensively challenged. Really good home court advantage in Spokane, their fans love them. Similar to Beavs fans in Corvallis.

Zags boast a higher average home attendance than we do. You will recall they had some key injuries at the end of last year, but still gave us one hell of a test at Gill. That's a very fine program.

I've been impressed with the Zag program for a long time......They play a brand of ball similar to OSU & Stanford....but they do not have the 3 point shooters of either program.... They barely lost at Maples this year, and they beat Stanford last year in Spokane (not an easy thing to do)...
They have 5 solid ball handlers who can all do a bit of everything without being super at one phase of the game...They all screen well, which in their motion offence creates lots of problems for their opponents. As bvrbooster mentioned, they played us at Gill last season with their #2 and #3 scorers out with injury....
beaverstever completely missed it when he wrote that a 5 seed might be better for the Beavs because they'd play with less pressure...Sorry. Going to Spokane to play the Zags would be a brutally tough assignment. Forget the pressure. Our girls will have played 30 games all over America by Tourney time. Home court trumps everything in WBB NCAA tourney.... GO BEAVS !!

The Beavers likely wouldn't play Arizona until the championship game of the PAC-12 tourney. If that should occur, then you can pen the Beavs in as a hosting team in the NCAA tourney. Would love to see your speculation play out.

Imagine what the Beavs could be doing now with two sturdy and physical 6'3" posts to bolster OSU's frontcourt depth.

If this matchup happens I wonder if Wayne Tinkle will show up to the game wearing Zag gear again. Ellie is several years removed from playing at GU, so I doubt he would be rocking Zags gear at this point.

No, but ask me again in 10 years if my daughter ends up good enough at something and decides to play for UO.

Would love to see your speculation play out. OSU is still 8 spots ahead of UA in the RPI, and they still have a game with Stanford. Assuming that goes as a loss, I wouldn't be surprised that OSU gets a better seed. Their non-conference had only Texas as a notable win, and Texas is really fading lately. The committee has historically rewarded a tough non-conference. www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-women/d1/ncaa-womens-basketball-rpi
