I think they have a pretty nice multi-purpose athletic field. I know they have a great T&F throwing program.
So now there will only be about six Concordia Universities throughout the country, with the Concordia Cobbers of Moorhead, Minn., being the top dog.

This is sad. I can remember playing basketball in their gym, taking in a play at the theater, and my daughter going to softball clinics there. Some private schools are really struggling. Unfortunately, instead of a nice campus and open space this land will now likely be consumed by a slew of high-density apartments with little to no parking. With Portland's goal to squeeze as many humans together as possible, if I lived in that neighborhood, I would get out now.

Our little league has held tryouts there the past few years. My 5th grade son's TA this fall was a high jumper for Concordia T&F - he had told me she could dunk on their playground hoops, but I didn't believe him until I found out her background. One of our LL coaches works there as a WBB coach. I guess the Concordia radio commercials I've been hearing lately will be pulled.

Got my MA of Ed back there in the mid 00's. Now I not only have a worthless certificate and huge debt, which has been an albatross around my neck, but the school that took my money no longer exists. Can't say that it upsets me though. People in mid life like myself take loans in hope of bettering their circumstances and end up just strangled with debt for their effort. I take responsibility for the risk I took but I'm also bitter toward these institutions like CU, Fox and insert name here that prey on the hopes of people knowing full well many of them will not cash in so to speak on that degree.
Every time I see the big billboards for these money pits I feel bad for those who will end up with nothing but interest payments for years to come.
These institutions should have a warning label like a cigarette package.
I imagine I would still have given it a shot because I believed in my ability but sometimes believing in yourself doesn't matter if others who have the power to hire you don't.
OK... rants over.

Well you won’t be hit up for alumni donations so count your blessings.

I have a great nephew who went there for two years because they were paying him to run for them. After two years he left, tired of the academics and having to take a Bible to every class. He elected to pay for and walk on at UO and try to run his way to a scholarship. Good and bad. Bad, he didn't get fast enough for a scholarship had some student debt, good, he's got a marketable degree.
