I guess have to lower expectation after KB is out. Will still go to the dance but I will be shocked if past sweet 16 round. Taya and KB gone has hurt the team. Get well soon! Looking forward to another great season. All depends on seedings and location. Have to win 2 to get to Sweet 16. Not sure this team will be much more than a 4/5 seed depending on Pac12 tourney showing. The blueprint is clear how to best this team. Fortunately not every team is as athletic as some to do it. It’s partly athleticism but a big thing is do you have someone to check Mik. If you have someone with the length or strength to guard Mik we struggle. Ryan for ASU does well on her. McBryde and Thomas both did a great job for Arizona. We now have no real 4s on the roster, and no athletic 6 foot or 6’1 wings. If KB is not ready for the NCAA, we will have to really shoot it well to make any noise. Give Arizona credit, great win for them.

Watching a little of uck ASU game. It’s like a roller derby game. Joanie Weston just rail-checked Ann Cavello.

All the confidence and good will/good feelings generated Friday night were totally sacrificed/lost. So much for carryover and positive vibes going forward....didn't even last one game/2 days. Not good.

Sweet 16 is the ceiling for this team. Something is not right. Who would've thought they would be no better than last year? Ya think maybe losing a junior 2-year starter might be a contributing factor? Losing Taya was big, but you recruit to have depth. IMHO TC gave depth, but unless she took a huge step forward her career numbers aren't season altering. 15-0 preseason....not changing that. Less time for multiple players... some who have contributed close to her career numbers. So, there is no way to compute the overall effect. Now with KB down it makes a bigger difference. But, having TC means diminished contributions from others. Does it equal out? Who knows, but it's yesterday's news. Injuries happen to almost every team. TC doesn't change the poor team play vs highly athletic and physical teams. One more skilled body doesn't change the overall lack of depth and athleticism a huge amount.

Feel awful for this team. They just don’t have it anymore. I see at least two more loses if not three.

Ya think maybe losing a junior 2-year starter might be a contributing factor? Injury issues are mounting. Corosdale is maybe a bit like McWilliams, more of an intangibles player than particularly productive. You're talking about career averages of a bit under 7 points and 6 boards.
There are 4 veteran guards who can all shoot the 3. Collectively they have not been as productive or as poised as I thought they would. Usually 1 or 2 of then have a good game, they haven't been firing on all cylinders all season.
There was expected to be a bunch of height and depth in the front court. That's pretty much evaporated. Morris didn't play today? It's down to Jones and a couple undersized players at this point.

Who knows what impact Mitrovic might also had if she had not been injured before the season even began. I think she’s going to be an impact player for OSU WBB.

Ok I know its taboo to say this but this season the team and coaching have underperformed. We lose an OT game to the #12 team in the country and the sky is falling.

I think this is what happens when you have an elite program with high expectations every year. Not winning these games is not what we’re used to.

When is the last time that happened? Season isn't over, still have to play at Stanford and at LA schools, more losses are certainly coming. Have not been winning the games against other top teams, that is concerning.

That was terrible. So stagnant and uncreative on offense, dribble, dribble, dribble, then huck up a heave at 29 seconds. We didn't have one good look in any of our OT possessions.
Looking ahead, we are in big trouble, especially if Brown's injury is what I fear it is and she's out for a calendar year, at least. Losing her and Carosdale, and having Tudor obviously not back in her pre-injury form, really, really limits us.
Pivec and Washington, big losses. Thropay, no big loss, she can't play. The 2018-19 recruiting class (AA, Morris, Simmons) has been a total bust so far. We will be senior-heavy next year with no impact juniors and (perhaps) only one impact sophomore.
With only two players coming in, neither of whom will be an immediate game-changer, we need a grad transfer post and forward, pronto. Other teams will be much quicker and stronger than we look to be next season.

Ok I know its taboo to say this but this season the team and coaching have underperformed. Well... on this board I'm far out on the limb as I was never out over my ski with this version. I always thought 4th, maybe 3rd down to 5th in Pac12. Maybe, maybe with a great draw and two hot shooting games the S16. Not a game by game prognosticator, but we're pretty close to what I expected. Inexperienced bigs, rely too much on shooting the 3 well. I thought next year we're much better, Top 3 (don't care if DS stays... I've never liked her game in SR's system?!) in Pac12. OSU will be deeper with two more mobile recruits, more experienced bigs, TC and others healthy, plenty of outside shooting. Just think this year was a bit of a transition season. Next two more like teams of '15-18.
