At least from the start will be Chamberlain/Pfennings/Mulholland, but sounds like Frisch is just outside of that group with a chance to break in and said to keep an eye on Washburn as well.
If Frisch is pushing for starting gig and Mully/Chamberlain in rotation, going to be interesting to see who closes....Verburg probably?

Thanks for info. I’m really interested to see what P Coach can accomplish regarding Frisch. Velocity is an awesome commodity, if used effectively. p.s. I got tired of D1 paywall, so posts like yours are always welcome.

Mulholland said he was going on Saturday. That would make it Chamberlain, Mulholland and Pfinnings. Burns was more consistent in the strike zone than Pfinnings on Saturday with good stuff. I have to believe he figures in the mix. There are two other freshman who have looked better than Washburn in the scrimmages I have watched.

We've got another "Mike Haas" on our hands. The kid's name is Pfennigs. When he first came on, I thought it was PfenniNgs as well, but there's no "N" before the "G". Jake Pfennigs

Ryan Brown looked pretty good on tape from what I saw. I wasn't particularly blown away with Kai Murphy or AJ Lattery's tape.

Chevy, you mentioned you left Saturday's scrimmage early so you wouldnt have even seen the last time Washburn pitched. He came in in 9th inning with tying run on base and 1 out and struck out the 2 batters he faced for the save. Looked really good to me. Hopefully 3 or 4 of the freshman arms can contribute meaningful innings for us this year.

Washburn was impressive in his outing against British Columbia. Poised, and confident in what he's doing out there. Good life on the fastball and repeatedly came inside hard which some freshman need to learn once they reach college ball. Dorman was calling the pitches but I thought they did a nice job of setting up the hitters for the "kill".
Also thought Burns may have had the best stuff and command I've seen from him that day. It rained, the air was wet and heavy but the scouts still had him at 91-92 consistently and he was pounding the zone.

Lattery has gotten a lot of work, but he has gotten hit at times. Brown just goes out there and throws strikes, no idea if he has the stuff but that throwing strikes thing is kind of important. I've only seen Washburn once and he just did not look comfortable out there, encouraging that he had a good performance Saturday. Murphy seemed like he owned the place, aka Chamberlain or Pearce. No idea if he is good enough but there seems to be a lot of fire and confidence.

I'm sorry to have to be the one... but, since he will be in the starting rotation can we just get his name right?
IT'S PFENNIGS
