And if you one of those who stays away from gymnastics because you think the scoring is biased, here's a solid perspective from someone who has been covering the sport for a very long time.
So get out to Gill. You'll never see more impressive athleticism, classier athletes, or more spirited competition.

The Beavs had a slow start but strong finish. Final score: 196.825, which is great for this point in the season and great for a meet against a less-than-stellar opponent. Two near-10 routines: Lacy Dagen on beam, Queen Isis on floor.
Stanford was really disappointing. They could only muster 10 girls for the trip, and only had five routines for floor and vault. (FYI: A full team is 20, but of course not all get to compete in every meet. We had 15 different girls put up routines, and 13 scored.) It wasn't that long ago that Stanford was a perennial challenger for the conference championship, but they own the basement now. I don't understand how STANFORD, with its unlimited resources and longstanding commitment to women's and Olympic sports, can be so uncompetitive.

That will help the OSU average of 195.575... and two 196+ scores in a row after beginning with 194s and a low 195. Also 2500 in attendance! Last I saw in 2019 Beavs averaged 196.32, which was tied for 15th. High score for 2019 was the 197.45. For those who care... 11:30 am, 3-way... ASU and LSU come to Gill before the MBB CW game. Make a day of it! Hell make it a weekend, (4) OSU events in (3) days... add WBB Friday night vs ASU and vs Arizona Sunday 12pm...
