Really poor execution down the stretch, 3 rd qu great. agreed about stretch run...but holy guacamole: Q2 + Q3 = 46-19. Anything beyond that is in the category of 'eggs in your beer'.

Yes but we do not handle pressure very well. Especially with a couple Seniors in there. Also we stopped executing offense and tried to run out the clock. I just do not like that.

Jones is becoming a target for refs during road games. She only fouled out once during pre season. Refs are holding her foot to the fire in conference. She's smart kid hopefully this won't get inside her head. Coached out of this. She was over aggressive trying to go for the block on that 5th foul. She needs to learn how to play with 4, but its tough to back off when your mentality is to block shots and contest in the paint. I didn't have any problem with the whistle there. She'll figure it out.

I understand breaking the press and running the shot clock down. Sometimes, you need to attack and probe the paint after breaking the press or the defense doesn't pay any price for gambling and pressing. We don't punish the times that our opponents overplay us. Would have preferred to see the guards get into and through the paint to force Utah to chase and foul.

The four guard lineup with Pivec, Jas, Aleah, & Tudor was amazing. That group pushed the ball after a defensive rebound (not to mention, this lineup played excellent defense), but the push up court had Utah on their heels. We need to see that same 4-guard lineup some more going forward.
Want to also see more Jas. She is beginning to play with confidence on offense.

I note that she is being more productive with her minutes, gathering rebounds and filling up more stats in the box score. That bodes well for her for earning quality minutes going forward.

I'm glad to see Jas improve her game and get more minutes....The Beavs need the kind of spark she brings to the floor.... If she plays against the Arizona schools as well as she did this past weekend against Utah & Colorado she will definitely be on her way... She's been in the program almost 2 full years now, so if she's got game she should be ready to show it soon....
I'd love to see her make an impact this weekend....It would bolster the team considerably to get one more productive player with speed on the court... GO BEAVS !!

Remember, that 4 guard lineup was also what we tried to close out the game against Stanford. It can be effective but will struggle against size and length. It’s was certainly part of our rebounding issues in that game.
