If the Beav's win out they will probably be tied for 2nd. Now we just need to wish them to perfection!!

Schedule? Like the schedule was made to slight a team? OSU needs to beat the teams that are the elite and so far they have not.
If someone thinks the schedule is somewhat harder (by what, one game vs upper level team?), one just has to look at the Ws. OSU 6 wins, 5 vs the "bottom feeders". OSU is 0-3 vs the elite teams they've faced so far, two were at home. In essence they tossed away home court vs said upper level teams. If I'm not mistaken, OSU should have (4) expected Ws vs said "bottom feeders" in their last 8 games. Games at home vs the teams tied and one game ahead, ASU and Zona. Only elites left are Furd and UCLA. Meaning, I'd expect at least a 6-2 finish with this 'tough' schedule. That's at least 4th, forcing UCLA to go 5-3 to claim 3rd alone.
If OSU is a NCAA top 4 seed they still have an opportunity to show it. But, if not it certainly wasn't scheduling as the cause!

I would submit that the conference tournament results will go a long, long way toward NCAA tournament seeding. If the top 4 teams in the regular season are Oregon and Stanford, in whatever order, as 1 and 2, and UCLA and Oregon State, in whatever order, as 3 and 4, that puts the Arizona schools as 5 and 6. So, in the quarterfinals, UCLA and Oregon State would face the Arizona schools. Assuming they both win, they play Oregon or Stanford. Another win there by either team would go a long way with the selection committee in the seeding process.
And whoever wins that tournament will have really accomplished something. Even if it's either the 1 or 2 seed, they'll probably have to beat 2 top 15 teams in a row to do it, depending on how the rest of the regular season plays out. For us to win it, we'd have to beat Arizona/Arizona State on day 2, Stanford/Oregon on day 3, and Stanford/Oregon on day 4. That's more than just a little bit of a bitch.
Assuming Oregon wins it, I think they should be the overall number 1 national seed.

I didn't see a post on this thread that was talking about OSU being a top 4 seed (maybe I missed it), but my post was about what the Beavs need to do now to get to 3rd place in conference. UCLA only facing Oregon, Oregon State, and Stanford once this year is a big schedule advantage for them. That wipes out three potential, even likely, losses for them and will lead to a probable better conference finish than they would have it all things were equal. I would just like to see everybody play each other an equal amount of times.
