The game is at 11 am our time. Utah is capable of staying in games based upon its three-point shooting ability. OSU tends to defend the three-pointer well.
Would be nice to get Tudor feeling good from distance and get some more shots for Jones and Pivec within the offense against the Utes. Can Goodman build on her outstanding shooting games against Oregon and Colorado? If so, that makes life easier for our players who are capable of putting the ball on the floor and driving.

A complete game... inside and out... would be nice. This game is a MUST WIN. With the next 5 being a meat grinder... ASU/Zona at home, then on the road to SC, UCLA, Furd... then Cal (sorry Cal you're not part of said grinder)... showing some consistency from all areas would be key, although those 5 teams are not going to change their physical approach.

That was definitely a good game against Colorado. Though a little inconsistent, Colorado has had a pretty solid year. I'll agree with the "MUST WIN" comment from baseba1111. The other day I stated that I expected this team to lose a couple more conference games, but I don't think it is out of reach for them to win out the final 10 (now 9) conference games, and for that matter to win the Pac-12 tournament. They would need everybody hitting their shots and playing very well though.
Saw this comment from Coach Rueck and I'm not exactly sure how I feel about it. I'm glad he believes in this team, and if he does, it's hard for me not to. Here's the comment: "We're growing, we're still not executing at the point where we need to to beat a team like that. We're just not quite there yet, but I believe we will be before it's over.” The "I believe we will be before it's over" is what caught my attention. He still sees the improvement that can come from this team and I tend to agree. Just better shooting for Kat and Aleah makes a world of difference, and you know the freshmen will continue to learn and grow.

To execute well on offense, this team needs to pass more quickly on offense from all five positions to create more separation for our shooters. When the ball sticks in our dribblers' hands, this team is far more guardable and our shooting percentage typically declines.
Last night, the quicker ball movement/passing around the perimeter against Colorado gave Goodman and Slocum the additional time they require to take open looks. Shooting as well as OSU did last night from distance will not happen often, but the quicker passing can result in shooting 40%+ from distance with regularity, given the number of quality shooters on this team. Shooting 40%+ from downtown may just be enough for the Beavs to win the tight games.

It's Colorado... currently 3-6, soon to be 3-7... that isn't a real Pac12 title or tourney threat. I'm pretty sure no one expected OSU to lose this game, recent results or not. This game and Utah are (better be) to get things in order before facing the do or die (home game seeding for the NCAA) gaunlet. The opponents matter. Glad all went well, but it's only a factor if it continues vs the best the Pac12 has to offer.

Colorado took Stanford to OT in Palo Alto and Washington took UCLA to OT in LA last week. Overlooking the lower half teams can bite you in the back side.

I thought they already went thru the grinder (@ Arizonas, Stanford, Oregon X2). Dang this conference is brutal!

I'm sure the team and staff would not overlook any opponent. But, as a fan I see Buffs and Utes as W's if we are the team I think we can be. These games are better than practices because they mean something and build more confidence than just shooting well vs teammates. Of course we can lose to anyone, but so far OSU has only lost to those I think are their near equals/equals or better.
