Just read a game recap of the Corvallis High School girl's basketball game last night, and one of their players "took the game off to rest." The coach said the move was made to be "cautious and careful."
There's more to this right? We aren't load managing high schoolers who play two games a week are we?

Maybe we'll chalk it up to "what's going on at CHS?" The boys team has the 7'3" kid and for some reason is determined to play man to man. They played West Albany and West just kept their own post about 20 feet away from the hoop on offense, thereby keeping a 7'3" HIGH SCHOOL KID 20 feet away from the hoop. Not a single adjustment to be found...

They only play 2 games a week in conference play. How do you know she's only playing 2 games a week? Because they only have 2 games per week. What is your question? They don't have AAU ball during the HS season here, so where else would she be playing?

Or could have other circumstances that aren't any concern of the public.

The topic was number of basketball games, not if she was secretly playing in a rec dodgeball league on the side. There has been a rash of illnesses running through the schools here. It could easily have something to do with that.

Sometimes, athletes are involved with more than one-sport at a time. Volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, skiing... all are possibilities for practice and/or tournaments. Of course, illness or injury that can't/won't be disclosed are all possibilities too.

"DNP-Rest" for a high school athlete was amusing to me. Glad you took it so seriously though, TheGlove. Hope she's able to play Friday night.
