As I root for all things O State I follow some sports more than others. With that said I noticed gymnastics is going up against a #22 Arizona squad and we are not ranked. It seems we usually are. Anyone follow closer and know the reason?

You are are correct that the OSU gymnastics team is usually ranked.
Basically, rankings are based on team scores. There are two different formulas during the season. Based on my understanding, the first half of the season is average scores. In the second half of the season the formula changes to counting X number of road scores, and possibly dropping the high and low scores when calculating the average.

Scored a 196.4 and beat Arizona. That's a great road score.
