ESPN headlines says Oregon "dominated" Oregon State. I'm calling that misleading at best and pure B.S. at worst.
Oregon "beats" Oregon State at home is more accurate. They really only "dominated" in one quarter, the second quarter, NOT THE WHOLE GAME.
Here are other reasons why their headline is inaccurate:
1. OSU played the Ducks closer (score-wise) at home than any other Oregon opponent all season. OSU was Oregon's toughest home game so far this season.
2. OSU outscored the Ducks in the second half, the only Duck opponent to do that against them at home all season. The only other teams to out score Oregon in the second half were Louisville and Arizona State, both away games and both were the Duck's only 2 losses for the season (so far).
3. OSU shot a higher percentage overall than the Ducks.
4. OSU shot better (highest %) than any Oregon opponent this year, home or away, even better than Louisville.
5. OSU tied Oregon in total number of rebounds. Oregon has out-rebounded all of its other opponents, home or away, except for Louisville.
Of course what killed OSU was poor 3 pt shooting, more turnovers than Oregon, and fewer made free throws, a familiar pattern of late. In any event, I would not call the Oregon win a "domination".

In case you missed it from Beav74: 72 minutes from Kat and Kennedy combined and 0 points......
So obviously your expectations are very low with this team. Given up already? Sixth place in the conference man and your okay with that. Watch mens games much? Is that your excuse for carrying on like a complete douche? Your saying good play does not need to happen until March. I am thinking with the rest of the teams in this conference it might come down to even hosting in the first and second rounds. Yes a good record does matter before March. Why give up now? |

I think she should be more concerned to why her daughter stunk to high heaven tonight. Playing 4 players on 5 Ducks ain't going to get it done Kennedy. You had the deer in the headlights look.
Scott should have benched her. No points, good grief!
12 frickin' rebounds, over 1/3 of our total. An assist, block and steal with only 1 turnover. Yeah she didn't do anything. The poster who goes by the name of sparty has got problems. Using this board to personally insult a player's parents? WTF? Here's advice from an adult. If you have a criticism of a player's performance - fine. But leave her family out of it. It's amazing that I even have to say this. As far as I'm concerned, that more than merits an extended "time-out". |

Agreed, That sparky crap is ‘over the top’ bad taste and useless analysis( if you can call it that ). More like a personal vendetta or a duck fan.
Should be booted off the board permanently.
I loved Kennedy’s game last night , she was doing what was best for the team.

I am also hopeful that Patricia Morris gets some more playing time. I've been a season ticket holder for 5 years now, and, for whatever reason, I have a calmness about this team. Last year was a pins and needles season every game. It feels to me that this team is growing every game, and, this tough schedule, when we look back, is going to be a great benefit to this group. I don't question, but don't understand the long rest for Jones, Slocum and Pivec. Seems like the girls off the bench provided a bit of stabilization , but did not really cut into the lead. Seems like the sense of urgency was there at the end , but just ran out of time ! I think we lost by 12 ( 6 of those came on two 'lucky shots from YKW ) . Then , we learned we took 10 fewer shots than the sucks. Let's say we convert half of those as 2's. That's 10 points , then take away the 6 - and we win by 6 ! I'm pretty sure the lead was cut from 20 down to 11 while Simmons and Morris were in the game. They very much cut into the lead. Slocum came back in and scored 7 points in a hurry to further whittle away at the deficit, but to say the subs didn't chip away while they were in there is completely wrong. |

Not the case. The Beavs went on a 11-0 run in just over two minutes in the 4th quarter to force a timeout by Oregon with the score 67-57 with 5:38 remaining. The five OSU starters were on the floor at the time. Would be interesting to see what the +/- point differentials were for each player last night. That way, you can really determine how the team fared when each of our players was on the floor.

Watching the UConne game this morning. They are playing on visitor court but the refereeing is all toward husky direction. Took the other team right out of game that's how it works sometimes folks. Sports isn't immune to bias for various reasons. Boo!

Look, I am the guy who cried as the planes flew overhead at the Tostitos Bowl. Part of it was just the relief of finally being good and maybe better than the ducks for just one day after a lifetime of losing. I get it. It can be tough to put up with the bandwagon media and fandom of the Ducks.

Waste no emotion on others... hate or anger. It doesn't wear well and truly doesn't make you feel better. It's the ideal I espouse and attempt to practice. Not always successfully... but, I'm quick to recover at least!? |

She posted it well before the game had taken place. It had nothing to do with the being upset about the outcome of the game! But then again, would anyone actually be surprised UO has OSU family sitting up there? |
