More like 15 months. Recent research has shown that slower rehab periods are better in the long run.

Hmmmmm... was his "questionable status" for last series really his bacK? When pulled Thursday it did not seem due to an injury unless I was talking and completely missed any sign of it. Was it from side work this week?
Young arms (under 25 especially) are just not built for the amount of pitches teams have them throwing. Age old issue, but there seems to never be much of a resolution... just toss another arm out there.
Too bad...

Ouch. That hurts. Heimlich now a starter? Fehmel? It'd be nice if Martinek starts throwing more and taking up the innings that the new starter is vacating. BTW, How did Martinek look?

Big time blow to post season hopes... Get better Drew! Indeed... I've always questioned this team as far as the combo of depending on youth and the lack of experienced/dependable pitching. Now, we're really behind the 8-ball. Unless some dramatic upgrades appear we are a .500 league team... HAVE to win home series to get there.

Any word on why Travis left the game early? It looked like a tight hamstring or back.

1111
Every time I try to give you the benefit of the doubt... Is there anything you are not an expert on? You are a renowned Hoops Coach. Check Football...know all about it. Check Baseball, what it takes to be a winner. Yep, you know all about it. Check TJ surgery? Yep, 1111 has that covered too. What do you know about the UCL? Had any experience? Do you know what an athlete can do with a torn UCL? A regular human? And don't give me the old "it's just my opinion, don't read if you don't like" line. You word your opinions as fact and or as an expert. Who cares whether it "was his back"(could have been, and he hurt his UCL compensating. Nah, that never happens) Good for a debate, not so good for a message board...in my opinion. Tell us again what you think the Lady Beavs chances against Baylor are. Yep...check.
Reply if you want, got that off my chest.

So... whatever your inferiority complex I tried for the life of me to give you the BoD... ok, not really... but, geez I believe I asked a few questions about the "when" Drew was hurt... if it was really his back... was he pulled @ Cal because of his arm hurting as no mention was made of it. Other than that I pretty much stated a common thread that winds thru all of baseball... pitchers/pitch count/over use. So, try not to act "6", get your panties untangle out your arse and let those testies breath again. And... "NO"... you don't typically compensate with your arm for a back injury. And... I did not sleep at a Holiday Inn. Love everything about the Beaver Women... heart says yes... mind knows differently. Magic number is 70 to have any prayer. Last 5 years UConn is 5-7 when they give up 70. We've broken 70 like 13 times in 36 games versus lesser teams than UConn. But, it's why you play. Wow... I feel less congested too! ;>)

Can't discuss topics intelligently, drop the conversation into the gutter Who cares when Drew hurt his arm. Unlike other injuries, it is not easy to know you tore your UCL. Notice you did not address the UCL questions. The only people that normally need to replace a torn UCL is a thrower. Most humans can function properly in day to day life without the UCL. Only a "thrower" of some sort needs the UCL. In your all knowing omnipotence, you did not give the Lady Beavs a chance against Baylor. That was the best sign to me that they had a good chance of winning. Now I'm concerned about tomorrow's game. I think I see it like you do. I'm not worried about UCON scoring, no way they put up 85+. What really will make the Beavs have a chance is if they can score. I will give you "props" for being consistent. Not sure if that is a compliment.

I'll bet you they do not finish .5 in league. you always seem so pessimistic, when you are at a Beavers game and they win is your first thought towards something negative lol? Going to lose the next one, that win went to their head, got lucky, etc. cheer the bleep up man, and go Beavs! Hope Drew makes a full recovery and comes back healthy next year

What really will make the Beavs have a chance is if they can score. I will give you "props" for being consistent. Not sure if that is a compliment. I will not spend too much time discussing what your "opinions" are... as they are yours just as mine are mine. And, neither of us have to frame ours interms of how the other thinks is acceptable. Now... the "sophomoric" behavior would have to have begun with you correct? As I believe there would be no comments by me directed to you otherwise. And, even you, in your almighty judgmental glory, have to see that you were basically name calling and creating the conflict. Do you expect others to bow to your whims and not reply? LOL... maybe you do. As for the UCL... I again ask you to try and reread my post... and ZERO, ZIP, NADA of your arguments make a lick of sense. I asked questions and posed questions. Just as other posters have about the report of Eckert's supposed injury/versus what was reported and they saw. So if you read my post and then your blatant mis-characterizations of my posts in yours you'll see I never questioned if , but pondered when. I never said he or anyone else knew... I queried if and if it might have been misrepresented. Again... questions, and asking for others input, not making accusations. As far as the injury itself... the UCL is the PRIMARY stabilizing ligament of the elbow. Most may be able to live with it, but it is very common injury to many people NOT just throwers (but, definitely very common to the over hand motion with throwing or extension of the arm with a weighted object) and is indeed very painful... YOU"LL KNOW IT! It is often times under diagnosed as a strain or just sleeping on your arm wrong. But, if you're a D1 college pitcher with elbow soreness that persists, of any kind, and especially inflammation (not often visible as much as felt by elbow feeling stiff/full of fluid)... SIGNIFICANT rest and tests are the correct course of action. VERY RARELY do UCLs snap or tear without prior warning or indications of injury... unless it is due to a dramatic injury as a elbow dislocation. Now... as I mentioned... I made no accusations... hell, Drew himself is the 'patient' he could have not disclosed soreness, or underplayed it to the staff. Who knows?! He's a competitor and wanted to pitch and help his team. Players are guilty of it all the time. As for my knowledge level... I don't owe you or anyone else my personal background. But, in some of the cases you ignorantly "argue" I DO KNOW. As for Baylor vs our Ladies, or versus UConn... that is an OPINION... right or wrong I do not care. I use some factual info and make up MY mind... not your mind or anyone else's. It's my opinion... don't care if I'm the only one with said belief. And, equally as important I do not post my thoughts to be "RIGHT"... nor do I keep "score" if I'm wrong. It's an opinion... NOT FACT! OPINION. The pathetic part of every message board are those poster who actually crow when they are right (and ask others to "eat crow") and hide (or feel like they need to apologize) when they are wrong. So... my post that started this little pissing match was really NONE of what you said. If you read, others replied to the best of their knowledge to my post with answers to the questions I posed... no attack or accusations. So... it was actually YOU (I know we're not supposed to use "you statements but...) began the "urination" as I have no idea who you are, do not remember ever having any kind of "conversation" on here with or about you until you chose to clear your chest. And most importantly... "...every time I give you the benefit of the doubt..." REALLY? Like you are some guru who decides anything... or anyone gives a rip if you give them a "benefit" or not? Just saying I do not need your approval... I hope you can post in peace.
