If you’d told me in October that we would be 16 and 2 at this point in the season with Taya lost for the season and 2 freshman starters, I would have been thrilled. Honestly going in to this season with the ducks fully loaded with their best team ever, and Stanford looking nearly as loaded, I felt it likely we would be battling for the 3-5 spot with UCLA and UA. So here we are, even without Taya or the other 2 bigs. I think the team we have now is fun to watch and mentally tough. Tons of room for the frosh to grow. Truthfully, how far we go in the playoffs will depend a lot on whether Kat and Aleah get their shooting mojo back. Better to be in a slump now then March I guess.
You can piss and bitch all you want, but these are great days for OSU womens basketball and ridiculous talent for the PAC 12 in general. I went to the Stanford game and watched a great game. We missed a few too many shots and had our chances against a final four quality team. I have no problem with that. Get em next time!

I watched on TV from So Cal. Our quickness in some positions were suspect. The play of Goodman as a Senior should be better. Also our offensive stagnation makes Me think we are not a final 4 type team. I see us as a final 16 type right now. Not using Morris puzzles Me. It showed in second half as some of our reserves and starters got tentative.

We dribble too much and don't pass quickly enough to make the defense react and adjust. If the ball goes inside and a player is doubled (Stanford is very good at hard double teams), the ball isn't kicked out quickly to an open shooter frequently. Morris converted one of two layup opportunities when given the chance against Stanford. Her miss was a bad miss as her teammate gave her a relatively easy finish at a critical time in the game. If Morris had converted that chippie, odds are that Coach Rueck may have kept her in the game longer. Goodman is a junior.
